Hair Quiz

Before choosing my bars, I took the Bar & Bar hair quiz, which helps match you with the right shampoo and conditioner based on your hair type, concerns, and styling habits. My Thoughts:

I've been a fan of Dove products for many years. I was raised using their soap that was always extremely moisturizing for my sensitive skin. As I got older, I fell in love with their body washes. When I heard Dove was coming out with the UltraCare collection, it was so exciting. Dove was kind enough to share this line with me and I can't want wait to share it with you. Thank you, Dove!

Having fine, thin hair, I could not wait to try the foam line. Never hearing of foam conditioners before, this was such a unique product line that quickly became my favorite. After dispensing it in the shower, it smelled amazing. Not too strong, but just enough to add a classy fragrance. What I noticed about the foam conditions is that they deposit very nicely and saturate the hair follicles without feeling heavy.

My first foam attempt was with the Weightless Volume conditioner. After blow drying my hair, I was shocked at the volume I had. Not only did it liven my hair, it did indeed feel weightless. The best part? The volume stayed all day! Unlike other styling products that eventually fade, my hair remained looking vibrant and full of life. The second Foam conditioner was the Weightless Moisture. I loved this one! It made my scalp feel hydrated and left a soft, shiny sheen to my hair. This one also felt just as weightless as the other and had a similar unique scent.

The second conditioners I tried were the Balanced Repair Milk Gel and the Balanced Moisture Milk Gel. This was an interesting texture and great smell. I wouldn't say it's a gel as much as a thick serum almost. Still, it went on extremely well and felt very silky on my scalp. After showering I noticed that it did indeed make my hair look more radiant. The difference between the Balanced Repair and the Balanced Moisture was that one left my scalp feeling more hydrated and shiny, while the Repair added more texture and natural bounce. My mom tried both lines as well and said it was like it put life back into her damaged hair.

Lastly, I had the unique Concentrated Repair Creme and Concentrated Moisture Creme conditioners. These are great for hair that are thick in texture and very dry or damaged. Since my hair is fine, I took only a little bit of the thick creamy conditioner. I was quick to see that a little does go a long way. As for fragrance, these were the strongest smelling and it was delightful. Not only did the creme make my hair feel extremely soft and lightweight, the smell stayed with me.

If you are looking for a new line of conditioners to upgrade to or try, I highly recommend Dove's UltraCare line. These are all incredible and give higher end brands a run for their money. I will certainly be continuing to use these in my beauty routine.

My Thoughts

My Thoughts

My Thoughts: 

The new Camille Rose Natural's collection is a wonderful addition to anyone's hair regime. If you are looking for all natural products, look no further than here. Coconut anything is all the rage right now, and after using these products, I can tell why. My hair has been shiny, hydrated, and oh so soft! Plus, I LOVE the smell of coconut. 

When I started testing the products, I began with the Sweet Ginger cleansing rinse. I noticed a little goes a long way. The product is thick and once distributed, forms into a gentle lather. Unlike most shampoos, Camille Rose's cleansing rinse did not make my hair feel dry after I rinsed it out. My hair felt very soft. I then finished my shower with the Coconut Water penetrating hair treatment. The smell was wonderful. I let the deep conditioner sit for a few minutes and once I rinsed it out, my hair already felt luscious. After it was dry, my hair had wonderful volume and shine that stayed all day.

Product Review: Mother Dirt

Bacteria is good.

That's the message of this product line that I had the chance to try out. While people take probiotics to restore the good bacteria in our guts that we're coming to understand is crucial to our immune system and overall health, Mother Dirt is using those principles for hair and skin care.

So, how were they? Honestly, I am not particularly loyal to any one shampoo. I prefer to mix up it a bit from time to time, but the shampoo definitely seemed to do the job. I thought my hair looked nice as well. It just doesn't lather like I'm used to with other products, so that was a bit of a surprise and I kept feeling like I should use more.

The body mist was nice, as well. My skin felt nice after using it, which helps cut down on the need for extra moisturizers or body sprays. 

The thing I was most impressed with was the cleanser. It definitely made a difference in the appearance and feel of my skin. My face felt clean, and appeared to look smoother. While I like all three, this is definitely the one I want to make a point of getting again.

My Thoughts

My Thoughts

I don't suffer from hair loss, but my hair has always been very thin and fine. Make Bath Time Fun with Circle of Friends

My daughter is six now. Baby shampoo just isn't enough anymore, but she's not quite ready for adult products either. My Thoughts 

I am very particular about the products I use for my beauty regimen. I like to find things that are made with natural ingredients. Whether I'm washing my hair or looking to prevent wrinkles, I know there are products out there that meet these requirements. Recently I discovered a company called Stop The Water While Using Me and they had everything I was looking for and more. Their beauty products are natural, holistic, and of course cruelty free. Plus, they offer the added benefit of giving back to communities that are in need of water, while also encouraging their patrons to preserve water in their every day routines. 

I was lucky enough to get to test out a few of the Stop the Water While Using Me products. The two I picked were the Lavender and Sandalwood Shampoo & Conditioner. The first thing I noticed when I tried out this shampoo and conditioner combo is the wonderful scent. It has a refreshing fragrance that is invigorating without being overpowering. Lavender has always been one of my favorite essential oils. Mixed with sandalwood, it creates an aroma that is just to die for.

 The shampoo creates a generous lather even with just a small quarter sized amount, and leaves hair soft, clean, and vibrant. The conditioner did not leave my hair feeling greasy or heavy like other brands, but still made it easier to get out all the tangles. After just a few days of using these products, I saw a marked improvement in the condition of my hair.
