Tips for a Long Lasting Manicure + A Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail and Cuticle Oil Review.

• Remove your polish and let your nails breathe for a good few days. If nails look discolored, squeeze some lemon into your lotion or rub a lemon wedge directly onto the nail to brighten nails.
• Apply a shea butter lotion or non-greasy cream to lock in moisture.
• Begin painting! Apply a cuticle oil (see below) to the base of your nails (or even when they are already polished), focusing around the cuticle area to hydrate and bring moisture into the skin, helping the polish last longer.

My Thoughts: 

As an art teacher, my nails are constantly getting covered in paint, clay, glue, etc. On top of that, they are getting washed more often than most, leaving my nails looking dull and dry. Although I love a day at the salon, going on a regular basis is not something I have time for. The added costs get expensive and appointments can be time consuming. 

The Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail and Cuticle Oil is such a breath of fresh air. It is like having a salon right at home! The argon oil formula is thick, smells amazing, and instantly hydrates. After applying, it is suggested that you massage the oil in upon application. Afterwards, wash your hands and apply your favorite nail polish afterwards. 

As you can see from the pictures, my nails were not looking their best at all. The Color Therapy Nail and Cuticle Oil applied evenly and soaked in almost completely after a couple minutes of massaging it it. My after picture was taken once I was done washing and drying my hands. My nails felt smooth, soft, and supple. I was amazed by the immediate results. They were long lasting and the product has been fantastic. It is certainly my new go to! I would highly recommend it!

My Thoughts 

I got the opportunity to review a variety of products from Cure Diva, including the lip balm, nail polish, facial moisturizer, and nail polish remover. These products are all either certified organic, or free of toxic ingredients. 

My favorite of the bunch was the facial moisturizer. It wasn't overly oily as some can be, and it felt light. The lip balm was also nice, moisturizing my lips without that overly sticky, uncomfortable sensation that some lip balms and lip sticks have left behind. I definitely recommend these two. 

As for the polish, it was nice, although the remover didn't really take it off as easily as I would have liked. Even after several applications, I still had a couple of spots here and there that just wouldn't come off until they eventually washed away. I can actually still see some of the clear polish that was left behind, so if you're getting the nail polish, I would definitely suggest getting the clear as well for a protective top coat that will make the color last longer. I did a clear base and then the color with no top coat. 

Overall, I like these brands and I would definitely consider replenishing some of the products once I am out.

My Thoughts

I was very impressed with the duri nail polish. It dried very quickly when putting it on between coats. It was very smooth and had a nice shine to it. It didn't look dull after a few days either. I am pretty rough on my nails and this lasted a week before I started to get chipping, but I think if I were a little more gentle, I could get extended time. I'm an off again, on again, nail biter, so this did hold up to me trying to nibble a few times.

I really like the colors too. The whole line is soft yet colorful. I had a hard time trying to decide which one to use. My daughter has really enjoyed them too. She changes her nail color all the time and so far the lighter blue polish by duri has been her favorite.

The bottles are heavy duty and when they clink around in the bag, they don't feel like they will break. The brush that comes inside glided across my nails easily and didn't clump. The polish was also a great quality, not sticky like I've seen before. A really great nail polish line.
