My Thoughts

There are tons of subscription boxes available today, but a few really stand out from the rest. This month's box included four different card games. Here's a little about each one.

Yummy World - This is a great game for younger kids. It'd s matching game featuring adorable good themed characters. Different cards have different values, and whoever has the most cards in the end is the winner.

Palm Trees - The object of this game is to grow a palm tree in your hands. In order to achieve the goal, you will have to hold the cards in silly and outrageous ways.

Spy Tricks - Spy Tricks will get everyone thinking as you take on the role of an intelligence operative. The object us to figure out the meaning of the secret documents by studying your cards.

Coraline - As a fan of the film, Coraline was our favorite. In this cooperative adventure, you have to guide Coraline through the house to collect the ghost eyes and snow globe while trying to outwit the other mother.

What I love the most about the WizKids is that the selection they send is so diverse. I've gotten other game packs but normally they are geared to only one child. I have four children, and they range in age from eight to nineteen, so someone usually gets left out.  This box has things that all of the kids enjoyed, even the teenagers. They even include games parents can enjoy.  Plus, it had us all playing together, making for a great family game night! You can't ask for more than that!

Mothers Day Gift Guide - Vella Box Candle Subscription #VellaBox

 If you're anything like me, you always have to have a candle burning in the house. A scented candle really helps to lighten the mood.  A pleasant scent brightens up the house and a the warm flame is relaxing. I always love trying new candle scents and I especially enjoy soy candles, so I was excited to give Vella Box a try. Because the candle is soy based, it burns evenly without creating any black soot. I've been burning mine for a few weeks now and have only used up about half of the candles. Clary Sage - This type of sage oil has a herbal ,earthy scent. It's great for menopause or PMS, and has  a very calming effect.

Dalmatian Sage- This particular plant is native to Greece, but still has many of the same properties as the white sage I use for smudging. You can use this oil for cleaning and purifying. It's helpful for hot flashes and eases the symptoms of asthma. It also can help to reduce yucky foot sweat! 

 

White Sage - White Safe is the type I smudge with, but the oil version is just as purifying. It helps  you feel cleansed and refreshed, and its a great alternative to burning sage if the smoke other someone.

White Light Roll-On - This delightful roll-on is made from sweetgrass, sagebrush, white sage and Cedarwood. It has a pleasant aroma, prevents you from feeling stagnant, and helps you clear your head and make decisions.

This was another fantastic box chock full of useful oils. I'll been smudging with sage for years, but I had no idea there were so many oil versions. Again, I was excited to try some varieties that weren't completely unknown to me, but which I haven't had much experience with.  I also love how Herb Stop includes so many great tips on how to use the oils and even recipes to make homemade beauty products. It's definitely one of my favorite subscription boxes.

March Aroma Box Review

This month's theme is Cedarwood Sampler and it will get you in the  mood for spring. I, for one, had no clue there so many Cedarwood to choose from. Here is a little about each of the oils in this box and the benefits they offer.

Atlas Cedarwood - This oil has a nice woodsy scent that will help keep you grounded through the hectic holiday season. It helps reduce stress and chaos. It's also great for acne, urinary infections, and aids with respiratory trouble. 

Blood Cedarwood - This is a woodsy oil that is perfect for the fall. It can help with acne and oily skin, making it great for the back-to-school season. It also helps with dandruff and eczema.  One of the most unique features of this oil is it's deep red color. 

Texas Cedarwood - This oil has as delightful woody scent. It can be used as an antiseptic or an insect repellent. It also has calming and grounding qualities. 

Thankful Roll-On - This roll-on is made with a blend of bergamot, cedarwood, grapefruit, ylang ylang, spruce, and oakmoss. It encourages feelings ofthankfulness and gratitude. As an added bonus, it smells amazing!
