Light Magic for Dark Times is s captivating spell book that brings you a collection of spells that provide personal growth and healing in many different areas. There are over 100 spells included that will guide you through any crisis or help you heal after a trauma. Some examples include protection spells, spells for strength, and healing baths. There are even spells to help remind you of the magical being that you are, because sometimes we all need a reminder!

One of the chapters I enjoyed the most discussed writing your own spells using poetry. This is something I already do for myself and my coven. Using your own words really does add some potency to your work! There are also tips on writing to a loved one who has passed, journaling, and creating your own grimoire

 My favorite aspect of this book is that every spell is positive. Even those designed to help you deal with negative things, give you suggestions on how to handle them in a positive way, to transform that energy. As a firm believer in the law of attraction, I truly believe that we attack what we send out.  The magick in this book will bring you only healing and light.

My Thoughts

This is a really great book with lots of fun ways to help you find and keep love in your life.This detailed spell book gives you all the tools you'll need to bring love to your life in all its forms. The book starts out with the basics, including an explanation of common tools and instructions on how to cast a circle. As you move forward, you'll find spells for just about any situation. There are spells to help you find new love, spice up an existing relationship, and even to grow meaningful friendships. Each one gives you explicit instructions, and if tools are involved, they are easy to locate and affordable.

Personally, I am very cautious about love spells since it's wrong to try to manipulate another person's feelings. Luckily, this book follows the rule of three, and all of their suggestions are written in a way that won't have karma coming back to bite you. I also liked that not everything was about romantic love, since love encompasses so much more. There are spells to help you get overcome shyness, to help heal heartbreak, and even to increase vitality. There is definitely something for everyone, whether you have an significant other already, are looking for new love, or just want to embrace self-love. This book is a great addition to any magical library.

Book Review: Mind Magic

Our Thoughts

Mind Magic was a fun read! We enjoy magic shows and one very talented relative likes to perform magic tricks.  While I have no interest in performing, I have always wanted to know how the illusions are achieved.  To  me, knowing how it's achieved and being able to see the illusion created makes it an even more artful performance, rather than just blindly not knowing how it works.  I'm one of those people that just has to know, kind of like if my checkbook balance is off by a penny, I have to find it.

We attended a magic show in Branson years ago and it was fun to pick up on things; for example we could tell when a body double was being used, but there were many illusions we couldn't figure out - how do you make an entire car disappear in a split second?!?

The book is laid out where you read The Trick as the magician performs it, then Behind the Scenes, where the "how" is explained, and lastly, "The Performance" which helps you with your acting abilities as you perform the trick for others. Reading about the mathematics behind one of the tricks revealed in the book was eye-opening.  A good 20 years ago I used to know one trick well enough to perform it but never understood how it worked until now. Some of the other tricks in Mind Magic involve memorizing charts where specific verbiage is used. 

Shortly after having read Mind Magic, I encountered a sweet cashier in a department store who took it upon himself to entertain my son & I with a trick.  Thanks to the book, I understood how it was performed (not that I was going to tell the magician that!) and it truly is an art form to have such a great performance perfected! I am very interested in reading more of Marc Lemezma's books to find out the "how" behind more illusions.

The Hamsa Box from Sapphire Soul - #Discount Code
