With four kids and five pets in our house, my vacuum gets a work out almost every day of week. It's important that I choose one that can handle big messes, but I also expect it to last for the long haul. When it comes to longevity and suction power, these five vacuums are my top 5 picks for the best vacuums available on Amazon.

#5 Dyson V10 Total Clean

My number five pick for vacuums is the Dyson V10 Total Clean. This vacuum is compact with excellent suction power. My favorite part about it is the sleek design. Although, I like this Dyson and all it has to offer, the $500 price tag is a little steep for my taste.

#4 Samsung Jet 90 Stick Cordless Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner 

The Samsung Jet 90 is another cool option if you're in the market for a vacuum. I'm a fan of the turbo action and it will definitely provide you with a superior clean, but there an awful lots of parts involved. Its also $649 which is pretty steep for a vacuum no matter what the brand.

#3 eufy by Anker

At $279.99, the eufy by Anker is getting more into my price range, but again there are too many small parts to deal with. I tend to lose pieces if there are too many. The cannister is also a little smaller than I like. I would have to empty this one ten times before I had my whole house clean.

#2 ORFELD Stick Vacuum

The Orfeld is one of my favorite and the most affordable of the list at only $110.  The detachable mini-vac makes it perfect for cleaning cars and other tight spaces. The sleek design makes it easy to store. This is the vacuum I'm getting for my daughter to take with her to her college dorm.

Despite the fact that we are constantly washing clothes in our washing machines, they too get dirty after a while. 3 Tips for Spring Cleaning during Fall

Fall brings the end of summer and the coming of winter. While spring cleaning is usually something you do after a long winter, cleaning and preparing your home for the upcoming winter is equally as important. Here are 3 tips to spring cleaning your home this fall.

1.      Thoroughly vacuum every room

During summer, people are coming and going. Kids are playing outside, the pets are coming in and out. In other words, there is a lot of transition inside and out, and with that comes a lot of dirt coming in. While you might have been vacuuming consistently, that dirt can find its way in hard to reach places, such as under the furniture and behind the cabinets.

Mean Green 101

I am meticulous when it comes to cleaning my bathroom and kitchen. I'm in there at least twice a day scrubbing things down. I used to have five different bottles that I lugged around the house with me. Mean Green changed all that.  Their Super Strength Cleaner was just the tool I needed to keep things sparkling. My Thoughts: 

I was intrigued by pHur's cleaning system. I am always looking for ways to live a more natural life. My Thoughts

I hate mopping the floor. I think its my least favorite chore. I would rather clean the toilet. It's just such a hassle.  The mop is heavy and bulky. It's hard to get in the corners.
