The collectible of adored Australian detective drama, MISS FISHER’S MURDER MYSTERIES, contains the stand-alone Christmas episode, Murder Under the Mistletoe. Phryne (Essie Davis, The Babadook, Game of Thrones) and company head to a chalet to celebrate “Christmas in July,” but when they arrive, they find a resident dead, electrocuted while hanging festive lights. Two other deaths quickly follow, though not before Jack and Constable Collins arrive and Phryne begins to figure out which of the chalet’s residents might be the next victim. My Thoughts
I love a good historical mystery and the roaring twenties in one of my favorite time periods. The costumes are stunning and each episode has a surprising ending. The settings are realistic and even the jazz club music helps to set the scene. This collectible DVD set has one fun holiday episode entitled Murder Under the Mistletoe. In this episode, Miss Fisher is celebrating Christmas in July when one of the guests at the event is electrocuted. Soon the bodies are piling up, and its up to Miss Fisher to weed out the culprit.
