CVS Pharmacy Semi-Annual Beauty Sale - Get 30% off Your Purchase!

CVS/pharmacy has some exciting news!
This week kicks off CVS Pharmacy’s Semi-Annual Beauty Sale, which extends through May 13th! You can snag 30% off regular prices by using the coupon code  SAVE30 at checkout.

You can also take advantage of  free 1-2-day shipping on all orders over $49.00 if you're shopping online.  There are lots of great items that you can get with this discount, but here are a few of my favorites.

I was very impressed with the Sonic Perfect Pedi! I've always had dry skin and calluses on the tops of my feet, as well as cracks on the bottom. I love walking around barefoot, especially outside, so I'm more prone to this happening. Of course, I love a day at the salon for a pedicure, but those are expensive and saved for a girl's day out. With the Perfect Pedi, I can make my feet beautiful and smooth for less than the cost of twenty pedicures in a salon! It includes a brush, callous softener, and a charging stand.

The Replenish Facial Cleansing Clothes are made with almond oil. They are sensitive on your skin, but get all the makeup off your face in only seconds, leaving it feeling fresh and clean.

These clippers are really cool.  They merge a nail clipper and a scissors, giving you all the convenience of both. The handles make it easy to grip, but the clippers are more powerful than a scissors. It gives you a fast, even cut on both toe nails and fingers nails.

Just place these Collagen Hydrating Anti-Aging Eye Masks under your eyes. They feel cool and refreshing, and help diminish the signs of aging. They leave skin feeling moisturized and reduce dark circles under your eyes.

Skin+Pharmacy Stretch Mark Lotion will help reduce the effects of stretch marks on the skin. Plus, it still leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized.

Advanced Anti-Aging Therapy Glycolic Peel Pads exfoliate your skin and remove dead skin cells. After just one use, you will see an amazing difference. It improves the texture, clarity, and brilliance of the skin

The  Retinol Night Moisturizer helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to help minimize the natural signs of aging. The look of fine lines and wrinkles is softened and dark circles are minimized, revealing fresher, younger-looking skin with continued use.

Thee Under-Eye Illuiminator goes on after your concealer or make up to illuminate your eyes and hide imperfections.  It helps hide dark circles and other blemishes on the face.

The Amp-Up Mascara gives you longer, filler lashes in just a few strokes. You won't have to worry about smearing, and one application lasts all day.

If you hate it when your eye-shadow clumps, you'll love the MUA Eye Shadow Base. Apply this before your favorite shadow and it stays on your whole eye lid all fay.

Remember, to get 30% off these and most other beauty items at CVS, just enter the code SAVE30 at checkout. My Thoughts
I had the opportunity to try Makeup Academy a few months back and have found that I love their products. I was excited to give these three new items a try as well.

The first new product they released was the Lash Primer. You'll need your favorite mascara to go with this product. First, you apply the primer. I let it dry a moment then I added my mascara on top of it. For super bold eye, you can apply another layer of mascara after you let the first layer dry. I did see a difference when using it. My eyelashes seemed to pop more, making them more noticeable. I've tried some other mascaras that made my lashes longer and fuller, but they caused itchiness in my eyes as the day went on. This product didn't do that. So I was very pleased with it.

The second product I tried was the Under-Eye Illuiminator. This went on after your concealer or make up to kinda illuminate your eyes and hide imperfections. I had a hard time figuring this one out and how to use it. It helps hide dark circles and other blemishes on the face. This isn't my first time trying an illuiminator pen. But I did like this product and will continue to try and master the technique on how to use this.

The third product I tried was the Makeup Correcting Pen. Love this. Ever mess up your eyeliner and of course, your eyeshadow is perfect? This pen helps with that, almost like an eraser to help you fix your mess up. This is also great to get rid of eye shadow that might flake below your eyes and also around your lips when messing up your lips stick. Another thing I do often because I don't wear a lot of lipstick.

I really like these products. I also love the tips they give on the packaging as well as an experts Q&A about the product.

My Thoughts

I got to test out two of these awesome products. including the Skin+Pharmacy Advanced Anti-Aging Vitamin C Brightening Serum. I was very excited to try this Vitamin C Serum.  And even more thrilled to see that it had Vitamin E also in it.  I have always been one to love being out in the sun.  So, I do have signs of sun damage. The directions are so simple.  All you need to do is apply a small amount with your fingertips to you face and neck, after it is cleansed and/or toned.  You can than apply your moisturizer and/or your make up after Serum has absorbed in you skin.
I love the results I have seen in the short time I have been using this Vitamin C Serum. My wrinkles are less noticeable, especially under my eyes.  My skin looks brighter, healthier and more tone.    The dropper that comes with allows you to not have any wasted Serum.  Only a couple drops is all you need.   I plan on continued use of the Vitamin C Serum.  I even two of my closest friends using this, and they are extremely pleased with the results they have had.

I also tried the MUA Professional Makeup Correction Pen. This thing is just amazing. So many times I have my makeup almost perfect, and then there will be on little smear. This pen allows you to erase those little imperfections without ruining your look. It has a fine tip and really does work like a regular eraser. It's quick and easy, and doesn't make a mess out of my makeup.
These are only a few examples of the new product available at CVS. To see all they have to offer, head to your local CVS/pharmacy or visit them online at CVS.comFacebook.com/CVSBeautyClub and Twitter.com/BeautyClub. Also be sure to check out the infographic above for some fun lipstick facts!

My Thoughts

Summer time is here and lots of out door time. Even though we lather up with sunscreen and reapply often, we still end up with sun burns and dried out skin. Advanced Skin Therapy Healing Gel with Magnetized Water is a product we tried on our skin that needed to be healed.

It is a clear gel material that goes on a lot like aloe vera gel, minus it isn't sticky. It glides across the skin, leaving a thick layer of gel on the skin. It doesn't soak in or dry right away like a lotion would, so give it some time to dry before putting on clothes over the spot. But the gel is very soothing and doesn't sting when applying it to a sun burn. The sun burns that we tried it on were very minor burns, so I can't say how it would feel on a severe sun burn.

I felt like this healing gel from Skin Therapy did a good job. My skin has felt dry with more sun exposure and I've used this a few times after my shower and my skin no longer had that dry feel to it. I think it helped sooth the sunburn too and help it heal quicker than if we'd just left it alone.

This isn't my first product to try in the Advanced Skin Therapy line from CVS. I've grown to really like this line of products a lot. They are fragrance free, so the whole family can enjoy them.

My Thoughts

These are all adorable and perfect sizes. Not only would they be great for travel, but also your purse. You could get a mini bag and be able to bring along all your favorite make-ups with you.

I got to test out the Makeup Academy brand. This was a new brand for me. I liked on the back of each packet, it gave tips on how to use the make-up or ideas on how to make your thin lips look thicker. A company putting in little details like that for me, go a long way. While I like to put on make-up, I'm not expert and little tips help me a lot.

The eye shadows went on lightly and not overly dark. I liked the range of browns so I could define my eyes. I've never been a lipstick fan, but I did like the lipstick duo that they sent me to try. Both colors were flattering and worked well with the color palette they sent me that went well with the eye shadow. I also got to try a few of their brushes, such as an eyebow comb, and angled brush, and a powder brush. The brushes were soft against my skin and applied the make-up evenly.

Over all, I really liked this make-up line and will be looking at more of Makeup Academy products, which are sold at CVS. Be sure to stop by and pick up travel sizes of all your favorite make-ups to keep in your purse or be TSA ready with your favorite face products.

My Thoughts

I got the chance to try sooth and exfoliate facial wipes from beauty 360.

The first one I tried out was exfoliate. This is very rough, so don't scrub your face too hard. One side has very rough bumps to remove dead skin as you wash your face. After using this cloth, I applied a moisturizer and my face seemed more bright from rinsing away the dead skin. I wouldn't recommend using this cloth daily, by maybe weekly as part of your routine.

The next evening I used sooth to rinse away the day and make-up. This was cool across my skin and had a very light fragrance to it. The cloth was thick and I found it easy to run it along my face as I pulled off my make-up. It glided across my eyes without issue, and pulled off the eyeliner and mascara without issue.

I really like these because I've never been one to take the time to wash my face the way I should, but since I've discovered these beauty 360 wipes, I find it's easy to take one, wipe down my face and go to bed without a face still full of make-up. Most nights I did apply my moisturizer, but if I did skip that, my skin didn't feel dried out. That was a really big plus for me.

Overall, I really liked these. I love all the different options in the beauty 360 wipes, so you're sure to find one that is right for you. Both of these did have a very light fragrance to them, but it wasn't bothersome to my face at all and didn't linger when I was done using it. I'd recommend these to anyone who needs to carry around face wipes or is like me and not very good at their skin care routine.
