Then he stumbles upon Lainey alone on the swing set of a deserted beach. Give Your Kids a Head Start with #FREE Learning Apps from Kids Academy #MomBuzz

Kids Academy wants to give  you kids a head start with their fun and challenging kids apps. Choose from a variety of games & eBooks that are absolutely free to download on iTunes. Here is a little about some of my favorites.

Preschool and Kindergarten learning kids games free for toddler

By Kids Academy Co apps: Preschool & Kindergarten Learning Kids Games, Educational Books, Free Songs

My Thoughts

This game allows kids to practice writing their letters and improving handwriting skills. There are two different levels. One has dotted lines. Once they master that, they can move on to practicing without lines, so they learn to write independently. My son is three and he just loves this app. He has a much firmer grasp on his alphabet since we started using it.  Sound like fun? You can download it free on iTunes.

ABCs alphabet phonics & Montessori learn to read app for toddler

By Kids Academy Co apps: Preschool & Kindergarten Learning Kids Games, Educational Books, Free Songs

My Thoughts

Toddlers can get a head start on reading with this fun app. Colorful characters guide them through games and songs that make reading fun.Using the Montessori learning method children can advance at reading and writing at a early age by tracing, rhyming and so much more. I have two children who are three and five and they both had a great time with this app.  Get in on the fun now by downloading the app on iTunes.

Bingo ABCs alphabet phonics song with farm animals cards for toddler free

By Kids Academy Co apps: Preschool & Kindergarten Learning Kids Games, Educational Books, Free Songs

My Thoughts

My daughter loves dogs so this app was her favorite from Kids Academy so far. You can join the lovable Bingo for books, songs, and games.  You can even sing along in Karaoke mode. The app connects letters with familiar images to help stimulate the learning process. This is an effective way for kids to memorize and learn their letters and get a head start on reading. It's also a lot of fun and will have your kids singing at the top of their lungs. Download it now for free on iTunes and see what the buzz is all about.

Creator of Domo Debuts Creative and Educational Komaneko eBook

Komaneko: The First Steps - the critically acclaimed animated short film from Tsuneo Goda, creator of the lovable pop culture sensation Domo - has been adapted in a new eBook that will charm, entertain, and educate kids in a truly innovative way.

Komaneko is a heartwarming and stunningly beautiful eBook and an educational tool that will show kids how to make their own stop-motion animations through a Movie Maker feature. The eBook also includes interactive content, personalization tools, games, and puzzles. Komaneko appeals to children of all ages and is now available on iTunes and Google Play for $3.99.

My Thoughts

Komaneko: The First Steps is a great app for kids that is both interactive and educational. There are several facets to the app. The first is an an adorable eBook which tells the story of Komaneko's adventures in film making. She writes a screenplay about two little kittens, makes puppets, and comes up with the perfect names. She experiences a few interruptions, like buzzing flies, that make filming hard, but she never gives up. Even when one of her kittens loses a button eye, she finds a solution. Later, after the movie is wrapped up and while Komaneko is sleeping, the dolls come to life and have some adventures of their own. As you read, the words light up so kids can follow along. You can also touch various pictures on the screen to hear the words spoken out loud.

There tons of different games to play that correspond to the story, including spotting the differences between images, puzzles, matching games, and missions, like finding Wink's missing eye. They are all simple games that won't be frustrating for younger children. You can also watch an animated version of the story book. There is so much to do, all of it educational, that this one app can keep pre-school children entertained for hours. My kids loved the cute story and the games. The dolls and puppet-like Komaneko really brought it to life for them.   I would recommend this app to anyone with preschool kids.
