Give Your Car Personality With CarLashes

I've been raising kids for twenty-three years now. Being a mom is great, but with a car filled with kids, I was stuck in a boring minivan for the last two decades. With my two oldest children in college and my youngers ones finally out of car seats, I decided it was time to buy a car that fit my personality. My little Kia Soul is the first car I ever had that I truly love, and I love finding ways to accessorize her.  I have crystals dangling from the mirror and a COEXIST sticker on the bumper, but something was still missing; something to make my Kia stand out on the street. CarLashes was exactly what I was looking for. These fun car accessories give my Kia even more soul and a feminine spark that catches the eye of everyone on the road.

Given I'm not very auto savvy, I was worried I  might not be able to get my lashes to stick, but installation is simple and quick. Just clean the surface, attach the tape to the lashes,  then attach the lashes to your car just above your headlights. Once they're in place, they stay firm even when  you're moving with traffic.

I look my Kia out with my CarLashes for the first time this weekend and I got compliments everywhere I went. All the girls from my office loved them, but my favorite fan was a little girl around four who started jumping and clapping when she saw us in the grocery store parking lot. And speaking of parking lots, its easy to pick out my Kia in the lot because the CarLashes really make her stand out.

If you want to grab a pair of CarLashes for yourself, you can purchase them on CarLashes.com. They have all different sizes for all makes and models of vehicles. Grab a pair of today and let the world see your car's feminine side.

Tips for Buying a Used Car For Your Teen

Sponsored post.

My daughter turned seventeen this summer, which (in the state of NJ) means she just got her license. Before we even left motor vehicle, she was ready to start car shopping. Teens tend to be impulse buyers, so it's important that parents guide their kids through this first big sale. Here are few tips that helped me during the purchase process.

Shop Around for Loans - If you need to get a loan, don't limit yourself to what the dealer offers you. Take the time to shop around and compare rates. I was able to get a car loan for my daughter from USAA for a much better rate than the local dealer offered.

Consider Expenses - Remind your teen that the purchase of a car is more than just the loan. They will need to budget for gas, maintenance, and insurance. Insurance prices are especially high for teens,  and full coverage is required if you have a loan.  Make sure to get a quote with your insurance company before the sale so there are no surprises.

Get the Facts - Before you head to the dealership, do your own research online. Cars.com is a great website to get all the facts on both new and used cars. You can compare prices on vehicles in your area, look at loan rates, and even find articles with great tips like when you should consider an extended warranty.

Shop Around - Don't let your teen grab the first car they see just because they are overexcited. Encourage them to shop around and test drive a variety of cars to get the one that is just right for them. Price is a big consideration, but also look at condition, ease of use, and warranty options.

Safety First - Remember that teenagers are new to driving, and are relying on you for instruction. Be sure to teach them about how to check the tires for air and remind them about oil changes. Once you find the right used car, have it checked over by a mechanic just to be sure everything is in order. You don't want a new driver to have any issues on the road.

Do you have any tips to help teens find their first used car?

Our Thoughts
What kid hasn't thrown a fit in the store because they want a ride on toy? I know mine has; many times! When it comes to ride on toys it seems that the ones that are most popular emulate parents vehicles or an emergency vehicle. And when it comes to buying ride on toys, you want to go with the very best for your dollars but also something that is easy to put together and charge for your sake, right? So, for everyone's sake you go with a toy you've done your research on and can trust to be stable for your little one. This Range Rover is something you can take home and be confident with!

When I received the Range Rover for my daughter, it was hard not to just rip it out of the box and put it together right then and there but I wanted to be able to put it together while she was either in bed for the night or napping. As soon as the weekend came and I knew I'd have a good couple hours with Miss K napping, the husband and I made a beeline for the garage where we put together the Range Rover.

Opening the box and reading the instructions were probably the hardest part of putting this ride on together. Honest! We took about 20 minutes to just go through everything, making sure all the parts, screws and stickers were accounted for and we came up aces! Next was putting it together. Everything fit well and went together easily, thankfully! There weren't any "gotcha's" and the directions were very simple when it came to assembly. The stickers on the other hand, there were a couple that were confusing as the company gives you stickers that say "Range Rover" for both of the colors (black & white) that they offer this little 6 volt in. The stickers were easy to put on once I got past the confusion of the extra stickers. I did mess up on one of the stickers and was easily able to pull it off without wrecking it or leaving part of it on the vehicle which was nice. I think it only took us about 45 minutes to put the Range Rover together once we had taken the initial 20 minutes to acquaint ourselves with the directions. I'd recommend giving yourself about an hour to put this ride on together and maybe 30 minutes on the charger initially before the first ride.

The charger connects to the bottom of the car so it's not easily disconnected by tiny fingers and the light on the charger lets you know when it's done. No more pulling a battery out and bringing it in to sit hooked up! You can just charge this one in the garage!

Once it was together there was elation from the husband and I! We couldn't wait to get Miss K in it and see what she thought. We were sure she'd be a little too short and a little too scared. Boy, were we wrong! She fits perfectly at 2 1/2 years old and she had a need for speed! She did have a little trouble getting the hang of steering her new wheels but she overcame that easily! The proof of Miss K's enjoyment is in the video! I'm sure that it will probably be passed down to the nieces and nephews as they get older!

If you're looking for a great little ride on to start your kiddo out with, this is it! The Range Rover retails for $199.99 at your local Toys R Us store. You can click here to find your local store or click here to see the product page.
