My Thoughts

This cook book was packed with some very yummy ideas. I'm always trying to find ways to improve our diet in the house and get the foods we eat cleaner. One area I struggle with is baking. This book is packed with lots of ideas for cookies and other items to satisfy your sweet tooth.

One of my favorite sections was the protein/smoothies. It seems easier to buy the processed protein powder to make a drink, but looking over the recipes in this book, I realized that with only a few extra steps to add to my blender, I could make a really delicious protein shake or smoothie that was much better for me without all the added things that go into the mixes.

On top of some delicious meal bars, shakes, and snacks, this book had the most gorgeous photos inside. It made browsing the book much more enjoyable. I liked how crisp the photos were of the different foods and being able to see the textures.

If you're looking for a cookbook with a wide range of recipes that are easy to hard to make, this is a great addiction. I have so many recipes marked to try. The shakes I did try were delicious and satisfying.

My Thoughts

This toothpaste did give me a kick of energy. I felt much more alert when I finished brushing and didn't feel like I needed to reach for a caffeinated beverage to help me get my wake up. The effect did last for a bit. The jolt of energy it gave me didn't make me feel like I needed to run a marathon, but instead it felt as though I'd just drank the coffee down very fast.

While I did like the energy the toothpaste gave me, I wasn't crazy about the taste. It didn't have that minty flavor I'm used to. I can't quite describe the taste, but it left a weird after taste and drinking after brushing your teeth is usually gross tasting as well. It also left my mouth with that cooling effect afterward to for quite some time.

This would be good for someone who doesn't like to enjoy a morning drink, or if you're in a hurry and need some energy. Also great for an afternoon pick you up, and can help you avoid over snacking since you've just brushed your teeth. For me, however, this wouldn't be something I used daily, mainly because of the taste. I could see using this from time to time, though.

My Thoughts

I love an extra kick of energy through the day as a writer. I spend a lot of hours in front of the computer and it can get mentally draining, and I find myself looking for something with either caffeine or a big dose of B vitamins. When given the opportunity to try Vuka, I was excited. I received a variety pack with:

Workout (Berry Lemonade flavor)
Workout Zero (Berry Lemonade and no calories or sugar)
Think (Pomegranate Lychee)
Renew (Mango Peach)

I have had an opportunity to try them all. I thought my favorite would be Renew because I love mango and peach flavored items, but this tasted sort of like a beer to me. I had my husband try it too, and he agreed. I really didn't pick up on the mango or peach flavor. However, it was still enjoyable and after drinking this one, I did feel a kick in energy. I think this one gave me the most energy.

Think was my favorite. I loved the taste of this one and it didn't really give me a kick of energy. I drank half a bottle before sitting down for a writing session and I feel like it did help me stay focused. I often time drink something packed with B vitamins if I have a lot of writing to get done for focus. I feel like this drink helped.

I then tried both of the Workout drinks. I preferred the non-zero one over the zero option. Though, my husband liked both, so it really shows how everyones tastes buds are different. I drank half of one before going out for my daily walk and I felt like it did give me the stamina to keep going and go longer. My dog wishes I gave her one.

What did I think of the drinks? I liked them. I liked the ingredients in this. They were natural and I usually don't like carbonated drinks, but these were done so lightly, that I enjoyed it.

You may have noticed that I mentioned only drinking half a bottle. When looking at the label, I noticed each serving was roughly 22-23g of sugar (depending on flavor). That is high to me, and I noticed each bottle is 2 servings. If you were to drink the whole thing, you'd get 46g of sugar. That's way too much. I am sure some of the sugar may be natural in it from the ingredients they use, but the bottle might need to be smaller. With these being carbonated and the convenience of putting them in a bag, you're tempted to drink the whole thing.

Aside from the portion and sugar issue, I liked these and might use again.

My thoughts:

I used this product in the 2 day detox program it suggested where I took 4 capsules 2 days in a row after a meal. I choose to take them after dinner time. Next time, I might choose to do it after breakfast. The day after I took the first pills, nothing happened. I took the second dose on day 2 and was a little discouraged nothing was happening. But then during the night, I woke up and my body was ready to detox. I spent a lot of the next day in the restroom and the first part of the next day. Not all day, but several times during the day. After I was finished with the detox, I felt a lightness in my body. Unlike when I've taken a laxative before to clean me out and I didn't potty for a few days, this one didn't mess up my bowel movement schedule.

My Thoughts

This was a lifesaver the nights I over indulged in pizza. I'm a clean eater, but every now I then I throw caution to the wind and have some greasy food. I always spend the next day with stomach issues as my body wonders what the heck I did to it. Taking the Belch pills helped a lot. I was still a little gassy, but not the kind that gets painful.

My thoughts

I used this product a few times.I did notice a bit more energy when taking it. Perhaps because it's stimulate free, I didn't get the jolt I was expecting with other products where I had the energy to get up and get moving. Our Thoughts

As much as I hate to admit it, I love energy drinks. Obviously when I saw that these were HEALTHY energy drinks I jumped on the opportunity to do a review. Not only did I get the SUPERENERGY, but I also received the SUPERWATER, which promotes alkalinity in the body and that is something I'm constantly striving for.

As for the SUPERWATER, I was curious to see if the taste would be different from "normal" water, but it was not. My children and I all sipped on the water and I explained it was to help promote balance within our bodies. Immediately my four year old started balancing on one leg to see if this "superwater" was going to live up to it's name!! The water tasted like normal water, so you do not have to worry about there being any odd tastes to it. Just know that you're drinking not just any water, but SUPERWATER that promotes an alkaline body and has additional antioxidants and nutrients for health!

As for the SUPERENERGY, I can see how this product might be hit or miss in the energy drink community. As for it's energy power, absolutely, yes I felt like I drank a pot of coffee. I was very upbeat but without the horrible jitters that accompany other energy drinks. Also, no stomach pain that my husband can sometimes get when he drinks an energy drink (I had him try it out too). The energy is definitely there. The taste is something that might have to grow on some. Upon first sip, my tastebuds could not really tell if I was drinking an energy drink, a fruit drink, a pop, tea, or who knows what. I could not pinpoint the flavor of the drink, but after a few sips I decided that I LIKED it like that! My husband was not too keen on the flavor, however so I enjoyed double the fun.

Comparable to gas station energy drinks, I definitely say get this one. It's obviously healthier for you, the energy is there and the taste is quite unique!
