Precious Moments has been a family favorite for a long time. My mom has always had a soft spot for the adorable designs. This beautiful figurine is crafted from bisque porcelain as well as hand-painted. One of the attributes I love about it, as well as Precious Moments products in general, is how much attention to detail they add. Everything from the curls of hair to the shading on the French bulldog puppy is expertly done. The piece is perfect for the Fall and Halloween spirit with the cute pumpkin costume, black cat shoes, boo bag filled with candy, and the adorable mustache costume on the puppy. Banana Fiber Basket

A banana basket! What an ingenious idea! We love bananas here and eat them daily, I love showing my kids they're not only good (and useful) on the inside but you can make stuff out of them too! Much larger than the picture depicts, it holds a nice spot next to our front door as our "drop off" point for change and keys. It looks lovely there! It's also really sturdy, not like cheap baskets you get at cheap stores where they start to peel apart.

 Storage Basket

No more dust on my jewelry! I have a bowl or cute box that I put everything in, but over time dust gets all over it. With this adorable storage basket I don't have to worry about dirty jewelry anymore AND it's a lovely table piece on top of my dresser. The material is very soft and the lid fits perfectly on top so it doesn't fall in the basket.

Round Serving Bowls

How cool are these bowls? They are carved from cow horns and are really soft. I also received a flower vase made of the same material. One of the serving bowls I received was a dark color so the contrast of the bowls and vase is a real eye-catcher on my table.  You can use them for more than food items, they'd make great coin catchers too. Or kid hats as my five year old has shown me, she really likes the small serving bowl. They're hard but not hard enough that I'm afraid they'll break if they fall on the ground. Shiny and pretty for whatever you use them for. I appreciate the craftsmanship on all of these pieces!

Spruce Up Your Home Decor with Air Plants - Review & #Giveaway

 A house doesn't feel like a home without a few plants. I haven't had the best luck with plants, but I do have a spider plant, bamboo, and cactus that I haven't killed yet. I still wanted to get a few more, but with limited time and space, I was particular about what I chose. Air plants are beautifully colored exotic plants that thrive in a variety of different environments. They are also very simple to care for. You don't have to worry if you forget to water them one day, because they only need water a few times a month. You allow them to soak for about half an hour, and they are good to go. Aside from that, all they need is air and sunlight. You don't have to use messy potting soil.  Just place them in the display once they have thoroughly dried. 

Speaking of the displays, these are what makes The Air Plant Shop so unique. They pair their beautiful plants with equally lovely enclosures. I picked out a set of five plants that arrived in a variety of different seashells and urchins. I love the combination of plants and shells. It's like bringing the elements of earth and water together in ceremonious harmony.  I have my little air plants spread out in all my favorite spots, and seeing them always brightens my day. I've had them about two weeks, and even after being shipped through the mail, they are still strong and hearty.

 My Thoughts

My youngest daughter has allergies and asthma. Almost anything can set off coughing and wheezing fits. My doctor suggested we run a humidifier all winter-long to prevent nighttime attacks.  I had a big bulky thing in there that was  intimidating to my three-year-old. She even thought it sounded scary when it was running.  I was on the lookout for a new humidifier and the adorable designs from Duux really caught my eye.

I selected a Duux Red Mushroom Humidifier and I couldn't be happier with my choice. It has so many advantages. First of all, it's compact. It doesn't take up nearly as much space as my old humidifier, but it holds just as much water and lasts through the night.  There is a dial on top to allow you to adjust the stream of mist released. I can keep it on the low setting for casual use and raise up to the max if my daughter catches a cold.

The design of the Duux Humidifier is simply adorable. The base is white and the top is red with white polka dots. My daughter's bedroom has a fairy motif, and this style fits perfectly with that theme. But what I think I like best is that in addition to being a high-end humidifier, the mushroom is also a night light. The pretty design and the glowing light make the Duux a much less intimidating apparatus for a child's bedroom.
