My Full Review

Once I started using the Sienna diffuser, I was surprised by how simple the whole process was. You just add your fragrance oil to the reservoir, plug it in, and you’re ready to go. There is oil involved, but the design makes it easy to pour and even easier to close securely. Nothing messy or complicated.

I was worried about the app since I’m technologically challenged, but it turned out to be incredibly user‑friendly. It synced right away and let me control the scent strength, set schedules, and adjust how much fragrance is released throughout the day. If you’ve ever been intimidated by smart home gadgets, this one is beginner‑friendly, and the scents are amazing!

• Waterfall is crisp and refreshing, like stepping into a cool breeze.

• Retreat feels calming and spa‑like — perfect for winding down.

• Luxe Garden is lush, floral, and elegant without being overpowering.

A little truly goes a long way. I was shocked that just one diffuser filled my entire 800‑square‑foot house with a fresh, clean scent. It wasn’t too strong, it wasn’t artificial, just a perfect, balanced fragrance that made the whole space feel brighter and more inviting.

As you can see from the photos, these lanterns are absolutely beautiful. The material is durable. The light settings are nice and bright on the SolarPuff and the colors are shiny and gorgeous on the Helix Lantern. This beautiful figurine is crafted from bisque porcelain as well as hand-painted. One of the attributes I love about it, as well as Precious Moments products in general, is how much attention to detail they add. Everything from the curls of hair to the shading on the French bulldog puppy is expertly done. The piece is perfect for the Fall and Halloween spirit with the cute pumpkin costume, black cat shoes, boo bag filled with candy, and the adorable mustache costume on the puppy. This heartwarming figurine is sure to make anyone smile!

Homeowners Gravitating to Bathroom Renovation Projects

“We just can’t stand our old bathroom anymore!” According to the 2018 U.S. Houzz Bathroom Trends Study, the most common reason homeowner undertake a bathroom remodeling project is they want more style, space, lighting and resale value from the most used room in the home.

            The study* finds that 37 percent simply couldn’t stand their old bathrooms any longer. The second most common reason for remodeling the master bathroom (30 percent of respondents) is that people have been saving up to do the project and finally have the funds to accomplish the task.

Falling in Love with a New Bathroom

            The Brandt family exemplifies the study’s findings. Their in-progress bathroom renovation includes installing a free-standing tub with a waterfall faucet in the front, plus an operable Hy-Lite^®acrylic block window.

            “The decision to add this window went from something we weren’t even considering to a focal point of our upgrade plans,” says Mike Brandt in Brandon, Fla. “It’s the only completed portion of the renovation so far and we really feel positive about our choice.”

            In Eden Prairie, Minn., the Arnold-Fair family also added two acrylic block windows as part of their master bathroom renovation. “We installed one of these windows into our walk-in shower to provide light in a trapped space,” says Randy Arnold-Fair. “Then we added one off to the side in a corner of the room near the new vanity.

           “The acrylic block windows allow for a maximum amount of light to enter the rooms without the need for any sort of curtains or blinds to assure privacy from the outside.

           “Installation couldn’t have been easier. These acrylic block windows are much lighter than a real glass window, so it was easy to handle. For my next remodel I’m tackling the master closet and I plan to include two more Hy-Lite windows in that room.”

Goal: Style and Light

           The Houzz survey results, which came from more than 1,100 registered users of Houzz who had completed a master bathroom remodel in the previous 12 months, were working on one or were planning to start one in the next three months, also reports on design goals from homeowners. Making the master bathroom stylish and beautiful was the top design priority report, cited by 79 percent of remodeling homeowners. As for functionality, the top priority, cited by 47 percent of respondents, was to add good lighting to the master bathroom.

           Homeowners installing acrylic block windows have found they can achieve both these top priorities with a single window.

           “We wanted the glass block ‘look’ for style along with ventilation and light in our shower setting,” says homeowner Erin Borofka of Bloomer, Wisc. “The operable acrylic block window was the ideal solution for architectural charm and maintenance-free living.”

Our Thoughts

So . . . Minnesota winters.  Space heaters are a must, right?  Somewhere in the neighborhood of 20+ years ago when we bought this house, it had an old "octopus" style gravity furnace (which was a coal burner converted to natural gas).  Plus our 1901 house had zero insulation in the main level (not crappy insulation, I mean NONE!).  IT. WAS. COLD.  With no insulation and a gravity furnace, the gas bill was sky high.  We turned to space heaters to save some money and have enjoyed them ever since (even though we now have a new furnace and insulation in the walls).   Over the years we've tried out many different styles, most of which are  . . . well, they look like a space heater and they don't fit in with any decor.  This is our first infrared heater.

Enter the Heat Storm Logan Deluxe Portable Infrared Quartz Heater.  

Okay, first off - isn't that a nice looking space heater? It's not what comes to mind when I think of a typical space heater. Heat Storm has two woodgrain color choices: oak and dark walnut.  The Logan Deluxe is "dark walnut".

So, how much heat does it put out?  Answer: A lot!  The ambient room temperature is displayed and you can also set your desired room temperature, ranging from 40 to 99F. It lets you know you've selected the "Eco" setting by showing a green leaf.

The Logan Deluxe really does QUICKLY put out heat - I mean, we first put it in our home office and in a minute or two the room was toasty.  Granted the home office is a small room and the Logan is designed for a medium/large room - but it gives you an idea just how quickly it can heat a room. Pictured, the heater is in my dining room which opens directly to the living room, and the heater is aimed toward the living room.  The two room sizes together (open floor plan) are perfect for this size of infrared heater. 

Here the Logan Deluxe is running, it looks nice running, too. I love the grill in front of the orange glow - adds a nice touch instead of a typical electric space heater's (ugly, haha) chrome grill. The digital display is large enough to see it from across the room.  It also comes with a remote, so you can turn it on/off and change the heat settings from wherever you are in the room.  While putting out the heat, the heater remains cool to the touch, so I don't have to worry about my son getting burned if he touches it. 

My favorite feature is castors!  I can easily move the Logan Deluxe from room to room - over a hard floor or over carpet, it rolls smoothly. 

While browsing HeatStorm.com, the Wave Floor to Wall unit also caught my eye.  Now this one looks more like a typical space heater BUT it's slim and meant for places where there's just not much floor space.  This particular one can go either on the floor OR hang on the wall.  Pretty cool!  Or maybe I should say, HOT! :)

Okay, so YES - totally in love with Heat Storm's infrared heaters!  Looks nice, heats nice, easy to use, easy to move. Highly recommend!
