Manhunt on Blu-ray
BAFTA Award-winning actor Martin Clunes (Doc Martin, Men Behaving Badly) “is a revelation” (The Telegraph, UK) in this chilling mystery based on true events that rocked Britain. When the battered body of a French student is found on Twickenham Green in London, hardworking and humble DCI Colin Sutton (Clunes) is appointed the lead detective on his first big case. Despite objections from his superiors, Sutton believes the young woman’s murder may be connected to a previous attack and embarks on a quest to catch a serial killer.
With the press in a frenzy and the public demanding answers, pressure mounts on the police to apprehend a suspect. Finding no motive, witnesses, or forensic evidence to rely upon, his team grows discouraged during the painstaking process, but Sutton’s commitment never wavers, often at the expense of his relationship with his wife (Claudie Blakley, Grantchester, Pride and Prejudice). Realistically portraying the ins and outs of police investigations, Manhunt tells the story of one detective’s uncompromising search for justice.
My Thoughts
Manhunt is an exciting new series featuring Martin Clunes who played Doc Martin. The series centers around Colin Sutton, a detective in Britain who suspects a serial killer is on the lose when a French women is murdered. The show includes three exciting episodes.
The First Day - Sutton is appointed to investigate the murder of a French college student.
The Van - Sutton believes a white van noticed around the time of the murders will help find the killer.
The Suspect- The prime suspect is arrested, but the police lack the evidence for a conviction.
This was a really exciting mystery and nail-biting chase to track down a serial killer. What makes this series even more entertaining is the fact that is inspired by actual events that took place in Britain. The blu-ray set also includes some fun bonus footage and interviews.
