My Thoughts

Jack Irish was a criminal lawyer but in this DVD set he's decided to switch sides after his wife is murdered. Now he's a part-time private investigator, trying to hunt down the same people he used to set free. On the side, he also works as a debt collector and both occupations get him into more than a little trouble. There are six episodes on this disk.

The Last Post - Jack tries to salvage his relationship with Linda. Jackie's courier Eddie goes missing after looking into the death of an Indian student.

Deal with the Dead - Jack visits a psychiatrist Eddie had listed in his date book. The father of the Indian student comes to claim the remains. Jacks old boss is getting back into horse races.

From the Ashes - Jack escapes abduction and finds Gus waiting at his house. Jack ties again to reach out to Linda.

The A-List - Linda is in India and agrees to help Jack with his case. Harry and Cam want to expose a troublemaker in the racing world.

Sins of Omission - Jack avoids Roy after he realizes her husband is connected to the college.  Some progress is made on the race track investigation.

Returning Home - Jack makes a discovery in an underground bunker. Harry wants to expose Ricky. Linda comes back to town.

I have to say Guy Pearce does and amazing job in this role. His brooding presence coupled with that nice physique is just the type of semi-bad boy that makes my heart thump. Knowing the sad plight behind his behavior just makes him even more appealing because you know there's a good guy under all the trouble. I am definitely hoping to see a set 3 out for Jack Irish in the near future because this is one show I just can't get enough of. Now that I've seen the show, I'm definitely going to have to get my hands on the books! If you want to get your hands on this great DVD set, you can order Jack Irish Set One on DVD at Acorn Media or on Amazon.
