The staff of the underfunded Good Karma Hospital in rural India face new challenges as the “warmhearted yet powerful medical drama” (TV Times) returns. Then a link to Ruby’s estranged family brings her closer than ever to Gabriel.

My Thoughts
Good Karma is a medical drama set in a little town in India. It centers around Dr. Ruby Walker. After the end of her relationship, she decides to leave her stressful UK job behind and start over in a small hospital in India. Adjusting to life in India takes some getting used to, but she soon learns to embrace her new life. Season one includes six episodes.
1 - A heat wave causes an influx of patients. Ruby does surgery on an appendicitis patient with a little help from Gabriel.
2 - A herbal remedy provider is creating competition for Lydia. Ruby deals with a liar, and Paul comes back to India.
3- Ruby starts a mobile clinic. Lydia gets involved with a domestic abuse case. Greg takes Paul to a kite festival.
4 - Ruby learns the truth about her father and refuses to talk to Gabriel about it. Lydia helps deliver twins and Paul finds a woman who thinks she's a goddess.
5- Everyone rushes out to help after a building collapses. Ruby befriends a patient who needs an amputation. Greg invites Paul out for drinks.
6- Ruby wants to find the attacker who stabbed a young man. Paul walks out into the water. Lydia visits her mentor.
I really enjoyed this series. Medical dramas are always fun, but this one has a really unique theme and setting. There are funny moments, and heart touching scenes. This is one of me favorite Acorn TV shows so far, and I can't wait to see what happens in the second season. Grab a copy of Series 2 for yourself on Acorn Media or Amazon.
