My Thoughts
Striking Out is an Irish crime drama series set in Dublin. It centers around a women named Tara who caught her fiance cheating with a colleague. This leads her to quit her job and take on a more questionable set of clients. She even works in the back of a cafe and uses a former client as her assistant. The cases she takes on put her on the outs with the influential people in town. It's a new and original concept. This second season has six episodes.
1 - Tara's team is evicted after Meg betrays them. Tara believes Eric's father is behind everything. While working to free Ray, Tara takes on an immigration case.
2- A father asks Tara to help with a custody situation. Ray starts investigation, and Vincent lays into Tara about the inquiry.
3 - Tara takes on the case of an ex-nun. Vincent finds a witness to help with the inquiry.
4 - Tara gets involved with Sam, Eric's brother. George takes on a case, but Tara finds evidence that could hurt his case.
5 - Tara and Eric finds themselves on opposite sides of an ugly divorce.
6- Eric is suspicious about Sam's new job. Things are getting serious between Tara & Sam. Tara learns the truth about hr father.
This was a great series with lots of interesting mysteries mixed with some political drama. I love that it features a strong female lead. I also enjoyed the Irish accents! I really liked the series, and I'm exited to see what they come up with next. If you'd like to grab a copy of this exciting new series, you can find it on Acorn Media or on Amazon.
