My Thoughts
Based off the novel by Paul Gallico, The Poseidon Adventures is about a luxury cruise ship with a terrorist hidden among the passengers. After detonating a bomb, the ship capsizes, and those on board are trapped underneath the water. Even worse, the terrorist himself is among the survivors. The passengers have to struggle for survival against an ocean and a mad man.
As someone who already had a fear of water, I can guarantee that after watching this, I will never be taking a cruise. This mini-series will have you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails and holding your breath. The special effects were amazing, and the cast all gave stellar performances. Having it done in a mini-series format was a great idea. They were able to stay much truer to the original story line than if they tried to pack it all into an hour and a half. Overall, a great film I would watch again and again.
