The team’s loyalty endures the ultimate test when Gerry (Dennis Waterman) is linked to a crime from his days on the force, inadvertently putting Sasha’s life in danger. My Thoughts

I've always been a fan of crime television. There is something about a good murder mystery that really gets your adrenaline pumping, and I especially love to see cold cases solved. New Tricks, Series 12 gives you 10 episodes filled with back to back action that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Sasha Miller calls a team of detectives out of retirement to solve cold cases, and each one is better than the next.

Last Man Standing: Part One - A cold case about a skeleton under a work site could be a case of cop corruption.

Last Man Standing: Part Two - Gerry is arrested and a new retired cop, Ted Case, joins the team to help prove his innocence.

The Curate's Egg - Gerry is in charge until Sasha recovers from an injury and they look into an old death of a vicar.

The Wolf of Wallbrook - An 80's case could be solved after a photo enlargement.

Prodigal Sons- The team looks into an old bathtub death and the cricket club.

The Fame Game- An old suicide death is reopened after a phone with some odd texts is discovered.

The Russian Cousin -  A coded notebook of a murdered PI comes in the mail and the stamp could lead to the killer.

Lottery Curse - A lottery winner who disappeared seventeen years ago is found and there are plenty of suspects.

Life Expectancy- A marble bust used to murder a new age doctor is discovered in a sinkhole in the cemetery.

The Crazy Gang -  The diary of a murdered health advocate reopens their case.

I've only seen a few episodes of New Tricks before getting this DVD set to review, but let me tell you, once I got it I was so enthralled I watched the complete set in just a few days.  While there are some minor references to previous seasons, each episode can be watched stand alone.
