A lighthearted look at the merger of two complex, opinionated, and meddlesome families, the sharply written British sitcom You, Me & Them makes its North American DVD debut on April 29, 2014 from Acorn, an RLJ Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: RLJE) brand. Anthony Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Merlin, Little Britain) and Eve Myles (Torchwood, Little Dorrit) deliver outstanding comic performances in this uproarious tale of love…and in-laws. The two face their share of challenges: he’s a wealthy and successful businessman, she’s a free spirit plagued by wanderlust; her family disapproves, his ex-wife (Lindsay Duncan, Sherlock, Rome, Traffik) is deranged. A brand new production that premiered on British television in 2013 and made its U.S. premiere in February 2013 via Acorn TV, the premier British TV streaming service at http://acorn.tv, the program makes its North American DVD debut with six episodes in this DVD 2-Disc set ($39.99, AcornOnline.com).
True
love. At first you have eyes only for each other…but before long, both
your families are watching you, too. This sparkling British comedy
follows a May-December
romance between free spirit Lauren (Eve Myles) and young-at-heart
divorced grandfather Ed (Anthony Head). The age gap isn’t Lauren and
Ed’s only challenge. They face the disapproval of Lauren’s parents, who
are practically Ed’s contemporaries, and her skeptical
older sister, who’s got a chaotic family of her own. On the other side,
they endure Ed’s down-on-his-luck, live-in brother; his irresponsible
grandson; and most vexing of all, his narcissistic, delusional ex-wife
(Lindsay Duncan), who has moved into the house
next door and plots to win her “Eddie Bear” back.
Bonus: Bloopers (5 min.), cast interviews (3 min.), and a tour of
Emma and Clive’s house (4 min.)

You, Me, and Them is a contemporary comedy ripe with British humor. The series revolves around a new couple with a large age gap between them. Life would be easy if there families didn't keep getting in the way. Lauren's parent's don't approve of the man old enough to be her father and Ed's family are sure she only wants to cash in on his fortunes. This box set has six great episodes. You'll follow Lauren and Ed through a variety of escapades including dishwasher malfunctions, uncomfortable barbeques, and embarrassing sex talks.
You, Me, and Them is a hilarious look at the trouble a few nosy in-laws can cause in a relationship. All the actors did a great job, but as a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I was especially excited to see Anthony Head back on the small screen in a role worthy of his talents. In addition to the two full seasons of episodes, the DVD set also includes some hilarious bloopers and a tour of Emma and Clyde's House. You can order You, Me, and Them for the everyday low price of $39.99 at Acorn Media.
