Our Thoughts

I have very long hair, almost down to my waist and it is constantly getting tangled when I brush it and I can not tell you how many times I have broken hair ties trying to get all my hair up, it's horrible! So I really wanted to check out the "tangle free" pros of Mixed Chicks when this review came across.

The Shampoo was great, it smelt wonderful, I loved the texture and it didn't leave any greasy residue in my hair. The amount needed was minimal compared to how much shampoo I have to use from "normal" brands at the store. Mixed Chicks spread out quite evenly.

I was doubly surprised by the scent of the conditioner. I can honestly say I don't think I have had a shampoo or conditioner that smelt better than the conditioner of Mixed Chicks! My hair has a tendency to be on the oily side, so my hair would only stay "clean" for about a day and then it'd get greasy again with this deep conditioner. Perhaps a normal conditioner would work better for my hair, but if you have really dry hair, this is definitely the conditioner for you!

The Paddle Brush I love!! I have broken brushes IN my hair when brushing before and they are always getting snagged. The wide-ness of the paddle brush allows me to brush my hair quite easily and it's not rough on my scalp at all. Also, my children's hair is easily tangled but now they love using this brush and they no longer have to have "their" brushes anymore... we all love this one!

I was skeptical when I saw the hair ties. All I could think of was what a mess would become of my hair if I put those in. I was imagining the old style telephone cords and how they would kink and get wrapped around everything... No thanks! But I tried it, and WOW, they are actually very smooth on the hair. I was able to pull back all my hair without any resistance and then I was able to take it out in one swoop and it did not snag at ALL! I promise! It is so painful when hair gets stuck in a hair tie and I am so grateful these don't!

As for the soap, I love it. A lot of natural or organic brands do not suds up. Now, I know it's not necessarily the suds that clean the hand, but we all have that psychological issue of seeing suds = clean, so when this suds right up without any difficulty I was hooked! Also, it does not take five minutes of rinsing your hand to get all of the soap off, which can be very annoying! And it smells divine! Sweet Pear is the perfect name for it.
