Lolleez Organic Throat Soothing Lollipops Review.

When it came to sore throats, mom of four and health coach, Melissa Evans couldn’t find anything to “eez” her kids’ throats or her mind. Thus, the idea for Lolleez was born. Lolleez are organic, worry-free, throat soothing lollipops for kids, that offer a simple solution to a simple problem.

What makes Lolleez different?

  • First, it’s the ingredients – Lolleez are made from USDA Certified Organic ingredients and ingredients you can pronounce and understand, like natural fruit pectin and organic honey. They are also Non-GMO as well as gluten, dairy and nut free.
  • Second, it’s the worry-free shape – Lolleez are flat and on a stick versus a round ball, which is a potential choking hazard.
  • Lastly, it’s the flavors – Lolleez comes in three delicious kid (and adult) friendly flavors: Watermelon, Strawberry and Orange Mango. After surveying hundreds of kids, Lolleez™ founders determined that traditional flavors like cherry and grape have a negative association that is tied to medicines.
  •

“Few ailments cause overall unhappiness to both kids and parents like a sore throat. Whether it’s allergies, a cough or a cold, a sore throat is painful. Every time you swallow, it’s there and it hurts,” said Melissa Evans, Lolleez Founder. “There is nothing worse than watching your child suffer, so I’m really excited to be able to offer an organic and worry-free throat remedy that can help soothe both physical (child) and emotional (parent) pain, with the launch of Lolleez.

Lolleez will be available at Target stores nationwide this month and just in time for allergy season!  Lolleez come in packs of 15 pops: Watermelon, Strawberry, Orange Mango and a Variety Pack for a suggested retail price of $6.99.

My Thoughts:

When I heard of Lolleez I was thrilled! My family and I have horrible allergies. Sore throats are a constant in our household, especially during allergy season. Although I enjoy throat lozenges, the aspect of choking has always been a concern for me, especially for younger generations. I try to have organic products around already, so this product was perfect!

Not only are the flavors of Lolleez fantastic, they truly work! It was impressive to see the size of the product and how sturdy they were. I was sent the variety pack and each was delicious and worked quickly! You would never know that these sweet treats were helping until you suddenly become aware of the relief. I noticed my throat soothed in about three to five minutes. The relief lasted long too! A lot longer than the traditional throat lozenges.

The only suggestion I do have for users is to watch the edges as it melts down in your mouth. I noticed that a couple of my pops got little rough spots that are a bit sharp. However, if you bite that area off, it'll be solved. The Lolleez still stayed put even after that.

I would highly recommend Lolleez to adults, children, and families alike! These are groundbreaking products for anyone that experiences sore throats.

If you try Lolleez, feel free to post your results on social media using the hashtag:

A New Way to Cure "Bad Eye Days"- FreezeFrames® Cool Eye Wear Review.

New therapeutic treatment for 'Bad Eye Days' comes in FreezeFrames® Cool Eye Wear ($89.95). They provide soothing relief to puffy tired eyes through a never-before-seen unisex sunglass line. The first conceptualized as a dual-purpose device for both 100% UVA-UVB protection and cooling eye therapy.

Resuable Gel-Pads magnetically click into place within the FreezeFrames® casing, and are anatomically engineered to discretely target zone-specific problematic eye areas unlike any other eye care product on the market today.

"Applying ice is easy to do most anywhere on the body except for the one area we need it the most, the eye area,” says LA-based specialty nurse Alison Read who invented FreezeFrames®. Alison works in a specialized surgical role as a Registered Nurse First-Assist (RNFA) alongside some of Beverly Hill’s top surgeons.

Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon, Dr. A. Stone, recommends using FreezeFrames® before and after treatments, claiming "Other devices can’t effectively reach the recessed tissues, structures and nerves around the eye that trigger inflammation and pain. But FreezeFrames® do."

Up until now, the only solution for ‘bad eye’ days left you trapped under messy ice packs and dripping compresses, keeping swollen eye sufferers indoors, immobile, out of sight, feeling unattractive and unable to do anything else.

FreezeFrames® naturally, conveniently and discretely solved Alison's own puffy eye problem and is now available to ‘nurse’ yours. Her patented Gel-Pad attachments soothe ‘the puffy and tired’ with gentle cooling compression customary of how a ’nurse’ might apply ice to swollen, symptomatic eyes areas.

Wear after a spa or medical treatment to decrease pain and bruising while also increasing the healing. Use to soothe allergic puffiness, PMS inflammation, computer dry eye strain, or revitalize after a long flight. Helpful also in relieving headache and migraine symptoms. End result: look and feel 'cool' while on-the-go!

Patented New Spa Treatment for 'Bad Eye' Days.

Created by a Nurse to 'Nurse' Puffy Tired Eyes.

FDA Approved and Recommended by Plastic Surgeons.

Available exclusively online at www.FreezeFrames.com with more styles and colors to debut.

My Thoughts:

FreezeFrames is an innovative way to help your eyes and pressure points naturally. As a lifelong allergy suffer, I am constantly dealing with sinus pressure and pain above and below my eyes. It causes me headaches often. I also have occasional puffiness as well. I was so excited to give FreezeFrames a try.

Once they arrived, I placed the glasses on and they fit perfectly alone and with the attachable magnetic gel pads. The frames are lightweight, a great design suitable for men or women, and I can see perfectly through them just as I could through a traditional pair of sunglasses.

Once placed in the freezer, the gel pads freeze quickly. They are comfy on and lasted a good fifteen to twenty minutes depending on how long you allow them to sit in the freezer. I kept them in for around a half hour, but you can go up to an hour if desired. There are magnets all over the Freezeframes from the back of the lenses to the actual sides of the frames to use cold therapy on your temples, not just your eye area. Although they are designed primarily for cold therapy, the gel pads can be heated by placing the attachments in warm water (avoid boiling water or the microwave). I have never seen or used anything quite like Freezeframes before!

I found that the Freezeframes worked quite well. The recommend maximum usage is twenty minute intervals with a break in between each one. You can use them daily and as often as you like as long as you take a rest period after treatment. They certainly helped my inflammation as well as soothed my sinus pressure. It was very relaxing to lay back with these on or continue my daily activities. They can be worn outside, but it is best to not drive using them. The frames are also latex free, 100% UVA and UVB sunblock protected, and the gel pad contents are non-toxic. I would highly recommend these for anyone looking for a natural way to relieve pressure and eye concerns in a safe way!

Airfree Air Purifier Review

Get a jump on spring allergies and spring cleaning because before you know it will be here!  Spring triggers allergies for millions even for those who typically do not have them. Many think that by just shutting the doors and windows they will be able to escape the invisible mold spores that are in the air all around us, but the truth is the only way to rid the air of it is to sterilize the air. One of the best things allergy sufferers can do is to purchase an air purifier, however, most do not realize that products with air filters capture the mold spores and causes growth on the filter. Airfree Air Purifier is an air purifier that sterilizes the air without the use of a filter and allows air to flow in and out while killing airborne allergens like pollen, dust mites and mold.

Our Thoughts

Sounds too good to be true! Well, it's not. After watching the Airfree video on how it works, it makes complete sense. Watch it here! Everyone knows that boiling water kills bacteria and pathogens, but that's just sterilizing the water. We need heavy duty cleaning for the air we breathe now. The Airfree air purifier sucks in air, heats it up inside to kill anything harmful to us such as mold, pollen, viruses, dust mites, pet nastiness, and odors in the house. Not everyone wants to smell what you've cooked for breakfast all day long. My children have also not been sick since we got this item and I like to attribute it to the use of oils and the Airfree air purifier.

Even living in the country, there are pollutants everywhere because our earth is very sick. Also with living in the country, we get a lot of pollen and irritants that make us sneeze every day. Since using the Airfree air purifier, we've barely sneezed, even my toddler who we've always laughed at because he will sneeze over and over again and we thought it was cute, but not anymore, even he doesn't sneeze like he used too!

So when we received this, we took it out of the box, it's bigger than I thought and black, very black. It looks like Darth Vader's helmet in my opinion and really stands out. The white purifier definitely blends into the background much more, so unless you're wanting to make this item a focal point in your house, get the white one!

When I turned it on my husband thought it was broken because it didn't make any noise, just a little light came on, but I explained that it's silent so you don't have a constant annoying noise in the background as you want this running 24/7, and because of that, it's low energy consumption (52 w). You may think that it would get hot with it running constantly and heating up to 400 degrees on the inside, but it's very well insulated and is only warm to the touch so you don't have to worry about it burning little hands that may reach up to touch it.

The square footage for this purifier is 650 sq ft, and we live in a tiny cabin so this pretty much cleans the air in our whole house!

The night light feature is nice, especially if you're walking to the kitchen at night it helps you see along your way.

This is a great items to have in your house, whether in the country or city, there are always pollutants and irritants that we need help cleaning and the Airfree Air Purifier does all the work!

Keep Allergy Season at Bay with Boogie Wipes

With cold and flu season wrapping up and allergy season just around the corner it can be difficult for parents to stay on top of kids’ sickness. Stuffy noses in particular are a common occurrence around this time of year especially when kids are around something they’re allergic too like pet dander or fancy flowers. See you often do parenting-related product reviews so thought Boogie Wipes would be a great fit for your readers.

Boogie Wipes are a soothing alternative to dry tissues and are made with natural saline to dissolve boogies caused by the common cold or allergies. No more red and itchy noses!

Boogie Wipes come in three scents: Great Grape, Fresh Scent and Simply Unscented for extra-sensitive noses. Recommended by parents and paediatricians, Boogie Wipes moisturize with aloe, chamomile and vitamin E and are gentle on kids’ sensitive noses.

My Thoughts

Boogies Wipes are a great invention that every mom should have in their diaper bag. Its not always an easy task to get little noses clean, but the damp wipes make it simple to wipe away sticky nose drips of those nasty ones that get crusted on with minimal fuss. The fun scents provide an added incentive. Kids love the grape and fresh scent varieties. Plus.  they're so soft its a no fuss process to get noses clean. The full size packs are small enough to fit in diapers bags or even most hand bags.

For kids with allergies, they may prefer not o have any scent on their Boogie Wipes. For them the Simply Unscented is gentle and soothing to irritated noses. You can find Boogie Wipes at Walmart, Target, Walgreens and select local retailers. Also be sure to check out Boogie Wipes on  Facebook and Twitter.

AirFree Air Purifiers - Clean the air you breath.

Spring is here and along with the blooming flowers comes allergy season. Many are already dealing with side effects like itchy eyes, runny nose and constant sneezing. One of the main allergens to blame right now is mold. With the amount of snow we had this year there is a lot more moisture in the air which gets caught up in homes and turns into mold spores. This can trigger allergies for millions even for those who typically do not have them.

By using heat to destroy airborne allergens, AirFree sucks in microbiological antigens and kills them through heat. AirFree is highly effective and has won many awards for its efficiency. It is a patented technology that requires no maintenance and is completely silent.

My Thoughts

I've been using the AirFree 3000 for over a week. I unpacked it and read all the instructions, expecting it to be more complicated then it was. Did I need to add water somewhere, put a filter in, etc? All I kept reading was to plug it in and that was it. Surely, that couldn't be all? Yup, that's all. Unpack it from the box and plug it in.

There is no sound. NONE. Again, I was sure something was wrong. Yes, a blue light turned on, letting me know the device was on, but that was it. So I went back to the manual and started to read it again. By the time I read this for the third time, I noticed where it stated it was quiet, giving out no sound, and it required no maintenance. Which means to plug it in and forget it.

I set my air purifier up in our family room since that is where we spend the most time as well as our animals. The device has a fresh small to it. My husband said it was like a new car smell. After being on for 24 hours, my living room seemed to have a fresher scent. While I can't see air to tell if it's cleaner, it seems to have crisper sense.

The blue light stays on all the time. There is a place where you can turn the light off on the bottom of the unit. I have left it on. The device can be hot to touch, so warn little kids not to touch. It wouldn't burn them, but it would be warm and might scare them.

It has stayed pretty clean. I haven't had to wipe the bottom of the unit yet where it pulls the air in. I still have a hard time with the fact that it's maintenance free and no filter to change, but this all in all in a good thing that way I don't have to think about it. Just plug it in and let it clean.

I have been very pleased with air purifier. I really do feel like it's doing its job, keeping the room fresh and the air cleaner.

*Note: You can move this to a different room after setting it up, but know it takes 24 hours for the air to all circulate and be cleansed.*

Breathe Easy with The Honeywell Air Purifiers - Review & #Giveaway

Have you ever wondered if you could do more in your home cleaning routine. Each home has different needs when it comes to maintenance. However, whether you’re a pet owner or the family chef, allergens and odors can be present in all homes. Having an air purifier in the home is one way to reduce those annoying allergens and smelly odors. So, which air purifier is best for your home?

The makers of Honeywell air purifiers invite you to take their 'Are You Cleaning Cluelessly?' quiz to find out which Honeywell air purifier you need to improve your home’s indoor air quality. By taking this short quiz, not only will you finally found out the ideal air purifier for your home but you will also be entered to become one of three grand prize winners.

My Thoughts

My daughter has allergies and asthma. Many times at night she wakes up coughing or wheezing. Our pediatrician recommended we get an air purifier so we decided to give the Honeywell Quietclean Oscillating Tower Air Purifier a try. With limited space and so many options out there, this one seemed like a good choice. It's compact, sleek design is small enough to slide into a corner, but it's still very powerful. It also offers a lot of great features without being too complicated for an average mom to figure out.

Despite its small size, the Honeywell Purifier  provides superior protection. This was more than enough for my daughter's bedroom. Running the purifier removes airborne particles including things like dust and pet dander. While I have no way to scientifically prove the accuracy, I certainly noticed a marked decrease in my daughter's coughing and wheezing in the two weeks we've been using our purifier. The oscillation option is an added perk because it helps circulate the fresh air throughout the room.

The touch screen controller on the purifier is easy to operate, but not overly sensitive. I love that there's a dimmer on the LED display so its not too bright at night when we're trying to sleep. Another great feature is how quiet the fan is. It omits a very light hum, but even that fades into the background after a few hours, which is very important since I have it running at night when my daughter needs to get her rest. I even noticed that it really does cut back on odors. I have a younger child still in diapers in the same room and when the purifier is running the odor after diaper changes doesn't linger for hours the way it normally does.

Of course one of the most unique feature of this purifier is the filters. They offer permanent washable filters that are easy to remove and clean. Simply run the filter under warm water and it comes out as clean as the day you first turned it on. Then allow it to completely air dry and put it back in. Replacing filters can be pricey, so its nice to have one that lasts for more than a few months. If you want, you can also add an odor absorbing pre-filter, but keep in mind that his one will need to be replaced as it loses its effectiveness after a few months.

Overall, I am really impressed with the Honeywell air purifier. It has all the features I was looking for at a reasonable price. It's the perfect way to freshen up the air inside the house during the cool winter months when the windows are closed and the heat is running. It will also work just as well in the summer when the air conditioning is on. The best part for me is the difference it's made for my daughter. For the first time in almost a year, she's sleeping through the night without coughing fits. This makes me one happy mama.

If you'd like to grab a  Honeywell Quietclean Oscillating Tower Air Purifier for yourself, you can find it online at Best Buy.

National Allergy Awareness Month: Beware Bandit Bracelet Review

More and more kids these days are challenged with serious food or medical allergies and other medical conditions like asthma, diabetes and more.

Medical alert bracelets are lifesavers but when kids don't like to wear - or even refuse to wear - typical medical alert bracelets that are ugly, clunky and even create a stigma that can prompt other kids to tease, that lack of available medical information puts the child in danger when an allergic reaction or medical condition comes up.

How about a feature on a new, unique solution that is proving popular? It's a vivid, fashionable alternative for a medical alert bracelet that is as fun as it is functional.

Beware Bandits are an effective, easy-to-use medical alert wristband for children with allergies and health issues that children will love to wear. These colorful bracelets sport informative characters that correspond to the child's particular allergy or condition to help to easily identify his/her medical challenge.

The Beware Bandits are a great reminder for friends, family, guardians and care takers to keep a watchful eye out for potentially harmful allergic reactions and health issues that a child (or teen or adult) might have.

The adjustable bands are made with a Latex-free band, and nickel-free snaps to provide comfortable & forgiving bands that will survive the tough and tumble activities of a child's daily routine.

The bands even provide additional information about the child and the medical challenge on the back of the band.

Here are just a few of the Beware Bandits and their allergy and medical
alerts: Meet all the Bandits here.

- Billy The Bee: Insect Stings
- Yeehaw Yolk: Eggs
- Poker Face Peanut: Peanuts
- Wagon W. Wheat: Wheat /Gluten
- Saloon Shelly: Shellfish
- Mr. Moo: Milk/Dairy/Lactose Intolerance
- Powder Puff: Asthma
- Buckshot Bob: Diabetes
- Dr. Penny: Penicillin
- And many more...

Our Thoughts

Being that until Mackenzie, I've never had a child with allergies to anything other than shellfish (which we don't eat anyways) I've never really thought of having an allergy band on hand. The boys are old enough to know what they can and cannot eat. This isn't the case with Mackenzie though. She's not talking much yet and she's nowhere near old enough to know that something can make her sick.

When Mackenzie was born she was having reflux issues which were triggered when I had milk products (milk, cottage cheese, sour cream, etc.) so I cut out milk products. When she was about four months old, I tried again. Nope. Still made her sick. At about six months old, hubby tried just a small baby spoon full of ice cream with her and again she was sick. We've tried a couple more times since then but now that Mackenzie is almost eleven months old and still having issues, she's being considered "dairy intolerant" which is where the Beware Bandit bands come into play.

All of our family members know not to give Mackenzie any dairy, but when we are out in public and with people that don't know us as well, there has to be a way to let them know so we don't have to stay on top of her constantly. The Beware Bandit band, Mr. Moo is perfect for this scenario. Because Mackenzie is so small I can't leave the band on her wrist but we've found that it fits well around her upper arm. You can see our solution in the picture below.

Mackenzie sporting her Mr. Moo band on her upper arm.

I am extremely happy with the idea that I now have these bands to help identify allergies for kids. I think that any parent of a child with allergies should purchase a band for the allergy to have on hand!

You can follow Beware Bandits on Facebook or Twitter!

Arm & Hammer Simply Saline Springtime Allergy #Giveaway

Springtime rings in warmer weather, as well as family fun outdoors to enjoy bike rides, BBQs and ball games. For the 50 million Americans who suffer from all types of allergies, springtime also kicks off allergy season. A healthy immune system is the best way to fight off sickness throughout the year, but what are the best ways to combat the runny nose, watery eyes and overall congestion that wreak havoc on so many? Dr. Travis Stork, ER physician and host of the Emmy® award-winning talk show "The Doctors,” has partnered with Church & Dwight Co., Inc., the maker of ARM & HAMMER™ Simply Salinenasal mists to share his Top Five Tips to Ring in Spring for a healthy & congestion-free season.

·          Keep it Simple and Natural. Nearly 43% of adults are congested year-round. The overuse of over-the-counter nasal decongestants can actually cause your congestion to return much worse than when it first appeared. Using products that are drug-free and derived from natural ingredients, such as ARM & HAMMERTM Simply SalineTM Nasal Mists, can be extremely effective in clearing nasal congestion without side-effects.
·          Know When to Work Out. Staying active and exercising for at least 30 minutes a day is a great way to fight off illness, but for allergy sufferers, be sure to plan workouts accordingly. Pollen counts are highest between 5am-10am, so it’s best to plan a time of day when pollen levels are a bit lower.
·          Allergy-Proof the House. Allergens exist indoors and outdoors, so take steps to make your home allergy-proof. A simple way to keep allergens at bay is to wipe your feet and take off your shoes when entering the home. You can also prevent mold by keeping the indoor air dry with a dehumidifier and remove allergens by cleaning the floors with a vacuum that has a HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter.
·          Mind the Kids. Congestion-causing allergens are everywhere – on the bus, in the park, on our clothes and even in our hair. To avoid any impact on your family fun this spring – especially for the little ones – keep congestion remedies on hand, like ARM & HAMMER™ Simply Saline™ Baby Nasal Relief for both infants and kids.
·          Wash Away Those Allergens. Suffer from allergies? Don’t ditch your favorite outdoor hobby, ditch the allergens stuck to clothes, bedding and bags. After a day in the garden, at the ballpark or family picnic, remember to wash clothes, bedding and bags as often as needed.

The Giveaway

One lucky winner is going to receive the Simply Saline Springtime Allergy prize pack pictured above. To enter, simply fill out the Giveaway Tools form below.  This giveaway will end on  5/15/14  at 12:00am EST. Open to the US only. Luma Comfort Air Purifier Review

My daughter has allergies and asthma. Many times at night she wakes up coughing or wheezing. Our pediatrician recommended we get an air purifier so we decided to give the Luma Comfort a try. With limited space and so many options out there, this one seemed like a good choice. It's compact, sleek design is small enough to fit on my daughter's nightstand but it's still very powerful. It also offers a lot of great features without being too complicated for an average mom to figure out.

Despite its small size, the Luma Comfort AP400W provides 400 feet of protection. This was more than enough for my daughter's bedroom. Running the purifier removes 99% of airborne particles including things like dust and pet dander. While I have no way to scientifically prove the accuracy, I certainly noticed a marked decrease in my daughter's coughing and wheezing in the three weeks we've been using our purifier. Because it also comes equipped with an anti-bacterial UV lamp, I also know that the germs my older kids are bringing home from school are a little less likely to effect her.

The touch screen controller on the purifier is easy to operate, but not overly sensitive. I love that there's a programmable timer, so I can leave it running for a just a few hours at a time and not have to worry about forgetting to turn it off.

The HEPA filter is high quality and should have an extensive life, but there is an indicator that will light up to let you know when it needs to be changed. Since our system is new, I haven't had to change the it yet, but you do have to remove the packaging from around the original filter when you first set it up. The grill pops open easily and the filter slides right into place. Instructions are on top of the unit, so they are always handy when you need them.

Overall, I am really impressed with the Luma Comfort air purifier.

In addition to air purifiers, Luma Comfort also offers Misting Fans, Ice Makers, Evaporative Coolers, and Humidifiers. To learn more about Luma comfort and all of their fantastic products, you can visit their  website or follow them on face book or twitter.
