Holiday Gift Guide – EdenPure OxiLeaf Air Purifier

I do a lot of home cooking plus I have two dogs, and a rugged husband. Combined, it adds up to a mixture of smelly odors. What I need is an air purifier!

Ta-Da! Enter the EdenPure Oxileaf plug in air purifier. This adorable, compact portable unit can be plugged in to whichever room I need it the most. Just plug it in, turn it on and it starts clearing the air.

It uses Ozone technology to oxidize any odors or up to 99.9% of air pollutants. We have been having terrible gusty winds lately that affect us with allergies. Having the Oxileaf, has helped my husband to breathe easier.

The leaf shape is unique. When it is powered on, it has a pretty green LED leaf vein glowing. The overall unit size is small enough to set just about anywhere. It measures under 5 inches square. I have had it on my home desk, in the kitchen, and in the bathroom. I would consider taking the Oxileaf while traveling.

The Oxileaf is simple to operate – it can be plugged into a wall outlet with the folding plug on the back. It can also be powered using a USB connection, which makes it ideal for working near computers. The main dial on the side turns the unit on plus acts as the ozone flow level. It can be set to minimum or maximum.

As for the sound level, it is semi-quiet. It does get louder if on a higher level. The air inlet is located on the back with the air outlet found on the front. It has a low-level hum which can be adjusted by the level and the distance away the unit is placed. I can barely hear it from across my office. Using it in the kitchen, I have noticed a significant decrease in food cooking odors permeating the entire home.
I did notice an unusual odor when first using the Oxileaf. Per the included manual, this is normal. It is the ozone odor which indicates it is working properly. It does dissipate as it works for a longer period as the ozone will fill the entire room. Changing the level to minimum helped with the initial ozone odor. It is not offensive, just noticeable, if you are sensitive to smells. For the best results, the recommendation is to leave it running for 12 hours continuously per day. The Oxileaf will shut itself off for 3 minutes every half hour for cooling down and saving energy.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with the Oxileaf. It is a good product that works as expected. EdenPURE can be found in Sharper Image as well as Walmart.com, BedBathandBeyond.com, Lowes.com and Overstock.com. Give the gift of clean air!

My Thoughts

The Febreze Air Purifier comes in several different sizes. I chose to get the smaller tower to be used in a smaller room. I'm currently using it in a larger room than it recommends, but it seems to be working well. But I'm sure when I move it into the room it's sized for, it will work better.

This is not an air purifier that you leave on at all times. Instead, you turn it on for the desired amount of time. I usually turn it on in the afternoon for a few hours. I couldn't find anything in the instruction manual that said how long to run it. I was looking for a little more information as far as the unit itself, but the manual really only gave detail on how to set it up.

It was easy to set up. Find a spot. Open the back part and remove the plastic off the filter then put in the scent pack on the top. Plug in then pick the settings that you'd like. My first time using it, I kept it on low and the scent in the middle. I didn't notice much "scent" in the air. So the next few times I used it, I put it on the middle fan setting and cranked the sent up a little more. I was then able to smell it.

I've checked the filter several times and so far it's staying clean, which surprised me with the amount of animals I have. I figured it'd be full of hair after a few uses. The scent that comes with the unit is a fresh smell, nothing over powering yet it's pleasing. I wouldn't say it was feminine or masculine, so it should appeal to most anymore using it.

The unit is meant to suck in the air in your room and filter it out, leaving the air fresh and clean. It's one of those things that's hard to judge is it's working, but I can't see any reason to report it isn't. I've enjoyed my Febreze Tower. I like that it's collecting dust and dander as well as giving my room a pleasant scent.

If you're looking to freshen the air in your home, I think the Febreze Air Purifier is a great option for your home.

Airfree Air Purifier Review

Get a jump on spring allergies and spring cleaning because before you know it will be here!  Spring triggers allergies for millions even for those who typically do not have them. Many think that by just shutting the doors and windows they will be able to escape the invisible mold spores that are in the air all around us, but the truth is the only way to rid the air of it is to sterilize the air. One of the best things allergy sufferers can do is to purchase an air purifier, however, most do not realize that products with air filters capture the mold spores and causes growth on the filter. Airfree Air Purifier is an air purifier that sterilizes the air without the use of a filter and allows air to flow in and out while killing airborne allergens like pollen, dust mites and mold.

Our Thoughts

Sounds too good to be true! Well, it's not. After watching the Airfree video on how it works, it makes complete sense. Watch it here! Everyone knows that boiling water kills bacteria and pathogens, but that's just sterilizing the water. We need heavy duty cleaning for the air we breathe now. The Airfree air purifier sucks in air, heats it up inside to kill anything harmful to us such as mold, pollen, viruses, dust mites, pet nastiness, and odors in the house. Not everyone wants to smell what you've cooked for breakfast all day long. My children have also not been sick since we got this item and I like to attribute it to the use of oils and the Airfree air purifier.

Even living in the country, there are pollutants everywhere because our earth is very sick. Also with living in the country, we get a lot of pollen and irritants that make us sneeze every day. Since using the Airfree air purifier, we've barely sneezed, even my toddler who we've always laughed at because he will sneeze over and over again and we thought it was cute, but not anymore, even he doesn't sneeze like he used too!

So when we received this, we took it out of the box, it's bigger than I thought and black, very black. It looks like Darth Vader's helmet in my opinion and really stands out. The white purifier definitely blends into the background much more, so unless you're wanting to make this item a focal point in your house, get the white one!

When I turned it on my husband thought it was broken because it didn't make any noise, just a little light came on, but I explained that it's silent so you don't have a constant annoying noise in the background as you want this running 24/7, and because of that, it's low energy consumption (52 w). You may think that it would get hot with it running constantly and heating up to 400 degrees on the inside, but it's very well insulated and is only warm to the touch so you don't have to worry about it burning little hands that may reach up to touch it.

The square footage for this purifier is 650 sq ft, and we live in a tiny cabin so this pretty much cleans the air in our whole house!

The night light feature is nice, especially if you're walking to the kitchen at night it helps you see along your way.

This is a great items to have in your house, whether in the country or city, there are always pollutants and irritants that we need help cleaning and the Airfree Air Purifier does all the work!

AirFree Air Purifiers - Clean the air you breath.

Spring is here and along with the blooming flowers comes allergy season. Many are already dealing with side effects like itchy eyes, runny nose and constant sneezing. One of the main allergens to blame right now is mold. With the amount of snow we had this year there is a lot more moisture in the air which gets caught up in homes and turns into mold spores. This can trigger allergies for millions even for those who typically do not have them.

By using heat to destroy airborne allergens, AirFree sucks in microbiological antigens and kills them through heat. AirFree is highly effective and has won many awards for its efficiency. It is a patented technology that requires no maintenance and is completely silent.

My Thoughts

I've been using the AirFree 3000 for over a week. I unpacked it and read all the instructions, expecting it to be more complicated then it was. Did I need to add water somewhere, put a filter in, etc? All I kept reading was to plug it in and that was it. Surely, that couldn't be all? Yup, that's all. Unpack it from the box and plug it in.

There is no sound. NONE. Again, I was sure something was wrong. Yes, a blue light turned on, letting me know the device was on, but that was it. So I went back to the manual and started to read it again. By the time I read this for the third time, I noticed where it stated it was quiet, giving out no sound, and it required no maintenance. Which means to plug it in and forget it.

I set my air purifier up in our family room since that is where we spend the most time as well as our animals. The device has a fresh small to it. My husband said it was like a new car smell. After being on for 24 hours, my living room seemed to have a fresher scent. While I can't see air to tell if it's cleaner, it seems to have crisper sense.

The blue light stays on all the time. There is a place where you can turn the light off on the bottom of the unit. I have left it on. The device can be hot to touch, so warn little kids not to touch. It wouldn't burn them, but it would be warm and might scare them.

It has stayed pretty clean. I haven't had to wipe the bottom of the unit yet where it pulls the air in. I still have a hard time with the fact that it's maintenance free and no filter to change, but this all in all in a good thing that way I don't have to think about it. Just plug it in and let it clean.

I have been very pleased with air purifier. I really do feel like it's doing its job, keeping the room fresh and the air cleaner.

*Note: You can move this to a different room after setting it up, but know it takes 24 hours for the air to all circulate and be cleansed.*
