Lolleez Organic Throat Soothing Lollipops Review.

When it came to sore throats, mom of four and health coach, Melissa Evans couldn’t find anything to “eez” her kids’ throats or her mind. Thus, the idea for Lolleez was born. Lolleez are organic, worry-free, throat soothing lollipops for kids, that offer a simple solution to a simple problem.

What makes Lolleez different?

  • First, it’s the ingredients – Lolleez are made from USDA Certified Organic ingredients and ingredients you can pronounce and understand, like natural fruit pectin and organic honey. They are also Non-GMO as well as gluten, dairy and nut free.
  • Second, it’s the worry-free shape – Lolleez are flat and on a stick versus a round ball, which is a potential choking hazard.
  • Lastly, it’s the flavors – Lolleez comes in three delicious kid (and adult) friendly flavors: Watermelon, Strawberry and Orange Mango. After surveying hundreds of kids, Lolleez™ founders determined that traditional flavors like cherry and grape have a negative association that is tied to medicines.
  •

“Few ailments cause overall unhappiness to both kids and parents like a sore throat. Whether it’s allergies, a cough or a cold, a sore throat is painful. Every time you swallow, it’s there and it hurts,” said Melissa Evans, Lolleez Founder. “There is nothing worse than watching your child suffer, so I’m really excited to be able to offer an organic and worry-free throat remedy that can help soothe both physical (child) and emotional (parent) pain, with the launch of Lolleez.

Lolleez will be available at Target stores nationwide this month and just in time for allergy season!  Lolleez come in packs of 15 pops: Watermelon, Strawberry, Orange Mango and a Variety Pack for a suggested retail price of $6.99.

My Thoughts:

When I heard of Lolleez I was thrilled! My family and I have horrible allergies. Sore throats are a constant in our household, especially during allergy season. Although I enjoy throat lozenges, the aspect of choking has always been a concern for me, especially for younger generations. I try to have organic products around already, so this product was perfect!

Not only are the flavors of Lolleez fantastic, they truly work! It was impressive to see the size of the product and how sturdy they were. I was sent the variety pack and each was delicious and worked quickly! You would never know that these sweet treats were helping until you suddenly become aware of the relief. I noticed my throat soothed in about three to five minutes. The relief lasted long too! A lot longer than the traditional throat lozenges.

The only suggestion I do have for users is to watch the edges as it melts down in your mouth. I noticed that a couple of my pops got little rough spots that are a bit sharp. However, if you bite that area off, it'll be solved. The Lolleez still stayed put even after that.

I would highly recommend Lolleez to adults, children, and families alike! These are groundbreaking products for anyone that experiences sore throats.

Keep Allergy Season at Bay with Boogie Wipes

With cold and flu season wrapping up and allergy season just around the corner it can be difficult for parents to stay on top of kids’ sickness. Stuffy noses in particular are a common occurrence around this time of year especially when kids are around something they’re allergic too like pet dander or fancy flowers. See you often do parenting-related product reviews so thought Boogie Wipes would be a great fit for your readers.

Boogie Wipes are a soothing alternative to dry tissues and are made with natural saline to dissolve boogies caused by the common cold or allergies. No more red and itchy noses!

Boogie Wipes come in three scents: Great Grape, Fresh Scent and Simply Unscented for extra-sensitive noses. Recommended by parents and paediatricians, Boogie Wipes moisturize with aloe, chamomile and vitamin E and are gentle on kids’ sensitive noses.

My Thoughts

Boogies Wipes are a great invention that every mom should have in their diaper bag. Its not always an easy task to get little noses clean, but the damp wipes make it simple to wipe away sticky nose drips of those nasty ones that get crusted on with minimal fuss. The fun scents provide an added incentive. Kids love the grape and fresh scent varieties. Plus.  they're so soft its a no fuss process to get noses clean. The full size packs are small enough to fit in diapers bags or even most hand bags.

For kids with allergies, they may prefer not o have any scent on their Boogie Wipes. For them the Simply Unscented is gentle and soothing to irritated noses. You can find Boogie Wipes at Walmart, Target, Walgreens and select local retailers. Also be sure to check out Boogie Wipes on  Facebook and Twitter.

National Allergy Awareness Month: Beware Bandit Bracelet Review

More and more kids these days are challenged with serious food or medical allergies and other medical conditions like asthma, diabetes and more.

Medical alert bracelets are lifesavers but when kids don't like to wear - or even refuse to wear - typical medical alert bracelets that are ugly, clunky and even create a stigma that can prompt other kids to tease, that lack of available medical information puts the child in danger when an allergic reaction or medical condition comes up.

How about a feature on a new, unique solution that is proving popular? It's a vivid, fashionable alternative for a medical alert bracelet that is as fun as it is functional.

Beware Bandits are an effective, easy-to-use medical alert wristband for children with allergies and health issues that children will love to wear. These colorful bracelets sport informative characters that correspond to the child's particular allergy or condition to help to easily identify his/her medical challenge.

The Beware Bandits are a great reminder for friends, family, guardians and care takers to keep a watchful eye out for potentially harmful allergic reactions and health issues that a child (or teen or adult) might have.

The adjustable bands are made with a Latex-free band, and nickel-free snaps to provide comfortable & forgiving bands that will survive the tough and tumble activities of a child's daily routine.

The bands even provide additional information about the child and the medical challenge on the back of the band.

Here are just a few of the Beware Bandits and their allergy and medical
alerts: Meet all the Bandits here.

Our Thoughts

Being that until Mackenzie, I've never had a child with allergies to anything other than shellfish (which we don't eat anyways) I've never really thought of having an allergy band on hand. The boys are old enough to know what they can and cannot eat. This isn't the case with Mackenzie though. She's not talking much yet and she's nowhere near old enough to know that something can make her sick.

When Mackenzie was born she was having reflux issues which were triggered when I had milk products (milk, cottage cheese, sour cream, etc.) so I cut out milk products. When she was about four months old, I tried again. Nope. Still made her sick. At about six months old, hubby tried just a small baby spoon full of ice cream with her and again she was sick. We've tried a couple more times since then but now that Mackenzie is almost eleven months old and still having issues, she's being considered "dairy intolerant" which is where the Beware Bandit bands come into play.

All of our family members know not to give Mackenzie any dairy, but when we are out in public and with people that don't know us as well, there has to be a way to let them know so we don't have to stay on top of her constantly. The Beware Bandit band, Mr. Moo is perfect for this scenario. Because Mackenzie is so small I can't leave the band on her wrist but we've found that it fits well around her upper arm. You can see our solution in the picture below.

Mackenzie sporting her Mr. Moo band on her upper arm.

I am extremely happy with the idea that I now have these bands to help identify allergies for kids. I think that any parent of a child with allergies should purchase a band for the allergy to have on hand!
