My Thoughts

Discover Channel has always been one of my favorite stations. Their educational series are fun and exciting for kids and parents alike.  My son has recently become obsessed with sharks, partially because his dad let him watch "Jaws" and partially because we live at the shore and he loves to surf. So he was definitely excited to have the chance to watch Shark Week: Jawsome Encounters  This mini series brings you the real life drama of the underwater world. The DVD provides hours of nail biting entertainment.

This season one of the highlights is getting to meet the amazing zombie sharks of New Zealand. You'll also get to experience Tiger sharks in Hawaii and Great Whites in Australia.  You can experience shark attacks and rescues that are all the more exciting because you know they are real.  If you are interesting in purchasing this exciting DVD set for yourself, it is available in retailers nationwide.  You can also find it online in the Discovery Store for the low price of only $19.98 or on Amazon.

My Thoughts

Since we live by the ocean, Shark week is a big deal for us. Especially this year since a huge Great White has been cruising the South Jersey shores.  Even though this makes me nervous about swimming, I still think it would be amazing to catch a glimpse of one these magnificent creatures. In the meantime, my children are enjoying shark week with a few sharks that are a little more kid friendly.

The plush great white shark is a snuggly friend that kids will love to cuddle up with during shark week. His teeth may not be sharp, but he's still a pretty realistic version of the real thing. My children love to pretend they are swimming in the ocean and riding the waves with their shark friend.

The shark beach towel is the perfect accessory for a day at the beach. My son loves the shark pattern, and the hood holds it in place when we're walking home from the beach. It's made from extra soft material that has held up well in the wash.
