My Thoughts 

Last month, we got to try the Project 7 Gourmet Gum, and it was a huge hit. This week, we received some of their brand new gourmet gummies, and they were just as spectacular. Imagine a gummie that is packed with flavor, but also gluten-free and chock full of vitamin C. That is exactly what you get with these gummies.  They come in several delicious and unique flavors including birthday cake, watermelon grapefruit, rainbow ice, and front porch lemonade.  Each one was chewy and delicious. 

I'm usually not a big candy eater, but these are actually really good. They satisfy your craving for something sweet without filling you up. The flavors appeal to people of all ages. All of my children thought they were amazing too. They range in age from fifteen to four, and they all had their favorite flavor. Project 7 is redefining what we expect from candy, and I'm loving every minute of it. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

My Thoughts

When I think of gum, I usually don't think "gourmet", but Project 7 may have just changed my whole perspective on gum. I am a pretty big gum chewer. It's been eight years since I quit smoking, but when I get a craving, I reach for my gum.  The same old minty flavors have gotten boring, so I thought I'd give Project 7 a shot and see if they could liven things up a bit. They certainly did!  The flavor combinations are simply amazing, and not only do they keep my mouth occupied so I don't want a cigarette, they taste so amazing, they handle my sugar cravings as well.

Project 7 comes in a variety of flavors that sounded outrageous at first, but all of which turned out to be a taste sensation that is hard to resist. Those flavors include: birthday cake, coconut lime, red velvet cake, kettle pop, peppermint vanilla, front porch lemonade, grapefruit melon and more. The pieces are the typical size for gum, and they are plain white, so you'll never know the surprise you're in for until you start chewing.   Each piece is packed with long lasting flavor, and you'll feel like you just indulged in a full size dessert without all the calories. 

In addition to their single packs, Project Seven just released their Build-A-Flavor varieties. These give you two flavors in one pack that you can mix and match to create even tastier concoctions. My son really loved the cookie dough. He said it tasted like there were actually pieces of cookie dough mixed in. He also informed me that this gum was "the best thing I ever got to review". Over 100,000 votes were cast and now Bazooka Joe, the well-known face of Bazooka Bubble Gum, has a brand new look!  Bazooka Candy Brands, a division of Topps, tapped four top artists to help develop more than 100 potential new looks for Bazooka Joe and for 16 weeks fans were invited to be part of the excitement by voting for their favorites at BazookaJoe.com.  Voting closed on May 31^st and today, the winning Bazooka Joe, designed by illustrator Victor Intrasombat of Clockwork Animation, was revealed at BazookaJoe.com and in a broadcast spot, featuring him in a stylish, modern version of his well-known ensemble of jeans, t-shirt, and baseball cap. Now that Joe has a new look, he, along with his pal Mort will be spotlighted in comics, games and activities in Bazooka Bubble Gum packs starting later this year.

To assist with Bazooka Joe’s refresh, Bazooka Candy Brands and their agency, Flint & Steel, worked with a diverse group of impressive illustrators. In addition to Victor Instrasombat of Clockwork Animation, who created the winning illustration, other artists that contributed potential new looks include Benjamin Balistreri (How to Train Your Dragon), Robert Lilly (Nickelodeon Animation Studios), and Ben Reynolds (mobile games for Ghostbusters and Monster Pet Shop).  Each of the participating artists were selected for their talent and their Bazooka Joe fandom.

My Thoughts 

 I used to love Bazooka Gum when I was a kid, and it's still a family favorite.
