Adventure Time: Card Wars DVD

Adventure Time’s fan-favorite episode, Card Wars, now has its own expansion! Adventure Time: Card Wars DVD showcases the original “Card Wars,” episode, from 2012, Cartoon Network’s brand-new “Daddy-Daughter Card Wars,” plus 14 additional Adventure Time episodes specifically curated for this release. And to top it off the DVD will include an exclusive “Card Wars” playing card, compatible with the Card Wars Doubles Tournament tabletop game coming in August. Adventure Time: Card Wars DVD is available July 12 for a suggested retail price of $18.94.

Finn and Jake play an epic card game, but when Jake becomes overly competitive and insists on playing for a “cool guy cup” and the “dweeb cup” hilarity ensues. The Adventure Time: Card Wars DVD releases with 16 episodes and is a must have for fans and collectors alike.

My Thoughts

I have four kids between the ages of four and fifteen and one of the only things they have in common is that they all love Adventure Time. Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum, Evangeline, and all the rest of the gang make up a world filled with magic and wonder where everything and anything is possible.

This DVD set is awesome because it includes sixteen complete episodes. That's  176 minutes of Adventure Time fun. Those episodes include:

Adventure Time: Stakes!

Cartoon Network answers the burning questions about one of the Land of Ooo’s most mysterious residents, Marceline the Vampire Queen in the eight-episode special, Adventure Time: Stakes!, which will debut on DVD this January. A serialized journey into the diary of Marceline the Vampire Queen, “Stakes!” is the latest in a long line of must-sees from the prolific, Emmy® and Peabody Award-winning Adventure Time team. Available on January 19 for the suggested retail price of $14.97, the DVD will include all eight episodes, plus exclusive new content including animatics, an art gallery, song demos and a brand new song written by Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe).

My Thoughts

My daughter is a huge fan of Steven Universe. I think it's her all time favorite show. The lovable Gems and their magic fusion has grown a little on me as well. There's a lot of deep and meaningful messages hidden in his children's show.

For my teen, a little Steven swag was the perfect gift choice. We picked out the fleece blanket and it was just awesome. The version we received has Cookie Cat on it, which is Steven's favorite dessert/character.  The front oft he blanket has one large image of the cat in a space suit with stripes in pink, black, and cream. The back of the blanket is pink with dozens of cookie cats.

My daughter loved the design, but she also loved how soft and cozy the blanket was. It's made from fleece so it's warm and soft. It's the perfect blanket to snuggle into during a cold winter night when you feel like watching a Steven Universe marathon. My Thoughts

 

 My children are huge fans of The Regular show and they were super excited when they finally got their own movie.  The show is always completely random and  the movie is no different. While the gang is hanging out at the park, a spaceship lands right in front of them.  The warrior inside warns them that a Timenado could destroy the universe, and of course Mordecai and Rigby are the only ones who can save the world from the evil volleyball coach...or get fired.

The  movie is full of hilarious antics and it's great to see the characters in their crazy sci-fi getup.  They quickly learn that in the future Mordecai has joined the dark side. Rigby is working for the resistance. They have to fight to save their friendship as well as the world, and there are lots of laughs and action along the way.

This DVD is awesome because it includes 16 fantastic episodes. That's a lot of Adventure Time fun. With so many episodes, it's hard to talk about them all, but some of our favorite highlights include the episode where Root Beer Guy claims Finn and Drake kidnapped Princess Bubblegum and when Finn visits his Beast in the astral plane. Of course, the title episode, the Enchiridion is one of the best. Finn and Jake set out to retrieve a legendary handbook for the princess. 

My kids just loved this set. There was tons of action and it's a reasonable price.  Any fan of Adventure Time needs to have this in their collection.

This Bluray set is awesome because it includes 52 episodes. That's  572 minutes of Adventure Time fun. With so many episodes, it's hard to talk about them all, but some of our favorite highlights include the episode where BMO gets lost and falls in love with a bubble. In the Box Prince we meet a cute cat who likes to wear a box. We especially love Apple Wedding when Tree Trunks gets married.

In addition to providing hours of entertainment, the set also comes in a great collectible box and includes lots great bonus features like a behind the scenes look and the crew and clips  from many episodes with alternate endings! My kids just loved this set. Any fan of Adventure Time needs to have this in their  collection.
