Chuggington Fire Patrol Rescue Day is March 31! - #Giveaway

Sound the alarm! The newest action-packed Chuggington DVD, “Fire Patrol Rescue,” is coming down the tracks on Tuesday, March 31, from Anchor Bay Entertainment – and to celebrate the new release,“Chuggington Fire Patrol Rescue Day,” is taking place across the blogosphere!

In honor of “Chuggington Fire Patrol Rescue Day,” and to help keep your family and young trainees safe all year-round, here are some important tips from Firechugger Asher and the National Fire Protection Association:

·         Asher says, “Plan ahead!”

Create a home escape plan so every member of your family knows what to do and where to go if there’s a fire. Designate a meeting spot, such as a tree or mailbox, that’s a safe distance from the home. And practice your home fire drill both at night and during the day.

·         Asher says, “Stop a fire before it starts!”

Keep matches and lighters out of sight and out of reach from children. Store them up high, preferably in a locked cabinet or drawer. It’s also important to teach kids that lighters and matches are tools for adults only and that they should tell a grown-up if they see these items lying around.

·         Asher says, “Cool it in the kitchen!”

Always keep an eye on the stove while you’re cooking, and use a timer as a reminder that the stove or oven is on. Create a “kid-free zone” around the stove as well as areas where hot food and drinks are prepared. And make sure to keep anything that can catch fire, including oven mitts and towels, away from hot appliances!

·         Asher says, “Sound the alarm! “

Smoke detectors are a key part of a home fire escape plan. Make sure to install smoke detectors on every floor of the home, especially inside and outside bedrooms. Don’t forget to test all smoke alarms at least once a month!

·         Asher says, “Stay low and stay out! “

If, during a fire, you have to escape through smoke, get low, go under the smoke and close the doors behind you as you leave each room. It’s crucial to remind children that, once outside, they should never go back inside for anything, including pets or toys. It’s best to wait to call the fire department until you get outside and are a safe distance away from the fire.

Asher says, “Follow these blazin’ safety tips and you’ll be in control and ready to roll if there’s ever a fire.”

My Thoughts

Turbo Charged Chugger is an exciting addition to our DVD library. Kids are introduced to Asher and learn all about fire trucks and hoses. There is also a great race scene and practice for emergency drills The box even comes with an adorable Asher figure! There are six great episodes on the DVD, making for hours of family fun. My son just loved this DVD and  is proud to call himself a Chuggineer.

My Thoughts 

The Chuggington StackTrack Brewster’s Big Build Adventure Playset is a must have for all Chuggington fans. The set comes with a cool set of tracks that you can mix and match into four different configurations so things never get boring. There is a cute little action figure of Brewster and he can ride over the tracks again and again. There's a bridge, a tunnel, an elevator and more areas for the die cast engines to navigate, making it an exciting journey kids will love. My son is three and he absolutely adores this toy and his four-year-old sister thought it was pretty fantastic too.  His favorite feature on this set is the giant crane with the built in elevator.

When I picked out this toy for my son, I was a little worried about assembly, but it's actually extremely simple to put together. The pieces are all large and snap together. My preschooler needs a little help but his ten-year-old brother can put the set together without any trouble at all. Once set up, it does take up a lot of space, so make sure you clear a flat, hard surface when you're ready to set it up. It takes about ten minutes to get all together and then its ready to go. When the kids are done playing, taking it apart is just as easy.  Just hold onto the box so you have someplace to store all the pieces. Losing even one would make it impossible to keep the tracks running properly. But as long as you take care of it properly, this is a toy that could provide years of entertainment and even be passed down to future generations. If you have other StackTracks, you can even use them together to make even larger railways!

Our Thoughts 
We love "Chuggington" in our house. It's a great show the kids can watch and I actually like watching. We hardly ever miss an episode and cannot wait for new episodes to come out. It shows the kids how to work together and how they can count on one another. My youngest son's favorite Chugger is Brewster so this movie was right up his alley!

StoryToys, a leading publisher of interactive books and games for children, today announced the release of a free “try-before-you-buy” edition of Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue. Chug Patrol is a 3D storybook app for children, developed by StoryToys and produced in collaboration with Ludorum, creators of the hugely popular television show, Chuggington.

The freemium edition gives readers the opportunity to sample the app before deciding whether to purchase. The first few chapters and 3D interactive pop-up scenes, are completely free to read and play. One simple payment will unlock the rest of the book which includes many more exciting scenes with challenges to complete. The option to purchase the full book is carefully locked behind Parent Center, which only adults can access. Parent Center is a function in all StoryToys apps which gives parents full control over the app and ensures that nothing can be purchased without their permission.

Our Thoughts

This is a fantastic App for kids who LOVE Chuggington. My almost four-year-old spends hours and hours playing with this App. He loves hearing the story told by the trains and loves that he can interact with the story too. It gives him not only some time to sit with a book but it also gives him a sense of accomplishment as he gathers his badges throughout the story!

The graphics are amazing and I love how almost 3D the trains look in the book. This is just hours of fun for the kids. Even my six-year-old and ten-year-old want to play this all day, every day! There are just so many things that you notice about the graphics, story line and other things even if you've read the book through numerous times.

I really recommend at least getting the free version for the child in your life who loves Chuggington as much as my kids do!
