The Blind Taste Test — Frankie & Fernando Take the Field

Since this was a Father’s Day‑themed tasting, I recruited the two most qualified men in my life: my son Frankie and my stepfather Fernando for a grandfather/grandson experience.

We set up a blind taste test, and right away Frankie, whose a bartender, picked up on the quality. He said it had that smooth, full‑bodied flavor you only get from a well‑aged bourbon. He may be young, but he knows his spirits and he called this one a winner.

Fernando liked it too, though he admitted it had a little burn going down. Not in a bad way. More like the kind of warmth you expect from a strong, well‑crafted bourbon. The two of them chatted about the flavor, the finish, and of course, the football legend behind the bottle. Terry Bradshaw’s name definitely added to the fun of the tasting.
