My Thoughts

The Staircase is the story of Michael Peterson and the alleged murder of his wife. When Kathleen first took a tumble down the stairs, everyone who knew the couple assumed it was a tragic accident. At first, when he DA brings murder charges against him, its a shock, but soon more and more evidence emerges that leads family and friends to doubt his attentions. While he swears his innocence, his family is torn apart with some believing him and other doubting his sincerity. This exciting crime series includes eight episodes:

  1. 911
  2. Chiroptera
  3. The Great Dissembler
  4. Common Sense
  5. The Beating Heart
  6. Red in Tooth Claw
  7. Seek and Ye Shall
  8. America's Sweetheart or: Time Over Time

This was a great mini series made even  more enticing because it was inspired by actual events.  In addition to the the series, the DVD also includes some great bonus footage including a tour of the set and inside featurettes. If you'd like to grab a copy for yourself, you can find it online at Amazon and in stores nationwide.
