My Thoughts

Balthazar is a drama series set in France. It centers around a forensic pathologist.  He has a great reputation and his conclusions are always right on the money. He has his own unique way of communicating with the victims, perhaps because he has suffered a loss of his own. The death of his wife weighs heavily on him, and he throws himself into his work even more. The third season has eight exciting episodes.

Paradise Lost - Balthazar quits his job in Paris to sail the Atlantic. He's sworn off crime until he finds a body on an island.

Friday the 13th - Bach looks into the death of a waiter while Balthazar assists in a mugging.

Against the Wall- Bach and Baltazar are caught after a high speed chase through a military zone.

Against All -  A man named Janvier may be Lise's killer, but Balthazar isn't convinced.

Another World - Corpses are left in a ring of salt in a strange murder scene.

The Child - While investing a missing boy, his mother is found dead.

Madly - A man found in a pit of balloon is though to be killed by a clown.

Red Wedding- The day before Balthazar is supposed to be married, his first wife's killer escapes.

This is a really awesome series. The forensic people are usually the side characters, so its a different twist to show the series through their eyes for a change. It gives you a chance to understand the science behind crime solving instead of just the detective work. I'm excited to see where things go in the next season. If you want to grab a copy of this awesome DVD set, it is available online at Acorn Media and on Amazon.
