My Thoughts

This DVD set brings you three amazing Masterpiece films for one low price.  Each of these classic tales are brilliantly portrayed with realistic scenery and a stellar cast. Here is a little about each one.

Mrs. Wilson - In Mrs. Wilson, a widow's world is shaken when a stranger shows up claiming to be her husband's true wife. When she set out to learn the truth, she discovers her husband was harboring more secrets than simply a second family.

Flesh and Blood - Flesh and Blood with a thrilling mystery with a touch of humor. It centers around a group of siblings  who have recently lost their father. In the midst of their grief, they learn their mother already has a new man in her life. Bitterness and rivalry ensue, and there's a chance someone could end up dead.

The Chaperone - While they were all great, this is my favorite film in the trio. The Chaperone is a historical drama set in the 1920s. It centers around a woman named Louise Brooks who was a real actress with a bit of a wild side. When she first heads to New York as a teenager, her mother makes her travel with a chaperone named Norma who is a very conservative matron. The two bump heads at first, but a companionship eventually forms between them, and they both learn a lot about who they really are.

I really enjoyed wall of these films. They bring you intrigue and mystery spanning multiple generations to ensure there is something for everyone. If you'd like to purchase one of these DVD sets for yourself, you can find them online at Amazon or on PBS.org.
