Bang, Series 2

As the BAFTA-winning Welsh drama returns, DS Gina Jenkins (Catrin Stewart, Stella) discovers a mutilated body on the beach, setting off a search for a serial killer. With Gina consumed by the investigation, her brother, Sam (Jacob Ifan, Cuffs), returns home from prison and struggles to start a new life, in this “gripping thriller” (Drama Quarterly) from the producers of The Fall. Premiered on Acorn TV (DVD, 2-Discs, $49.99). (Limited DVDs and Online Screeners Available)

 My Thoughts

Bang is a crime drama series that centers around two siblings. Gina is is an upstanding member of the local police force while Sam has gotten involved with crime. Gina finds herself caught between family and duty when her brother is implicated in a horrendous crime. At the same time, she is trying to uncover the cold case surrounding her father's murder. This second season has six episodes and a look behind the scenes:

Out - When a boy is found is a horse trailer, a local businessman is accused.

The Club - Murder victims are connected to a rape at a rugby club that happened years ago.

Gunshot - Dai's bike shop is robbed and Gina and Luke investigate gun shots.

Somewhere to Hide - The police track down another member of the rugby gang.

Regrets - Jeff's son Richie agrees to be bait for a murderer.

Who You Really Are - Morgan is missing and the killer is now targeting Jeff.

This is a really great series. There is a lot of action during the investigations, and the relationship between the siblings adds another layer of drama. I am pulling for Sam to redeem himself and turn his life around, but who knows! I can't wait to see what happens in Series 3. You can grab a copy of his exciting new drama for yourself online at Acorn Media or on Amazon.
