MISTER ROGERS’ NEIGHBORHOOD: MISTER ROGERS AND MAKING MISTAKES

This December, PBS Distribution will release “ Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood: Mister Rogers and Making Mistakes ” on DVD. Mister Rogers taught generations of children how to be lifelong learners and made them feel valued and encouraged. He spoke openly and was never afraid to tackle tough subjects, like how to handle  Making Mistakes . Every purchase supports public television for all. Families can find full episodes of PBS KIDS series for free on their local PBS station, the PBS KIDS 24/7 channel and live stream and PBS KIDS digital platforms, including pbskids.org and the PBS KIDS Video app.

Mister Rogers and Making Mistakes  is a collection of memorable episodes where Mister Rogers helps children understand that everyone makes mistakes from time to time. Never afraid to tackle tough subjects, he spoke openly about the topics children silently wondered and worried about, but adults often struggled to discuss. World-famous pianist André Watts performs for Mister Rogers and together, they talk about practicing and learning from mistakes.

My Thoughts

Mr. Rogers has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I was a little girl, I used to sit and watch it with my grandparents.  I have so many great memories from my own childhood, and my four children have grown up watching it was well. This DVD set brings together some of the best shows all about making mistakes and taking the steps to admit your wrong and fix it.

I just love this show. It's a timeless classic that kids have enjoyed for generations. Each show teaches kids valuable lessons about emotions, acceptance, and education. I also love how Mr. Rogers has always stood up for children, and fought to make his show available to everyone. With Mr. Rogers, it's always a beautiful day in the neighborhood. It's been fifty great years, and I'm sure he will continue to entertain kids for many years to come.  This DVD is a wonderful way to keep the tradition alive.
