My Thoughts
This is such a great mini-series. I have always been fascinated by the story of the Titanic. There are many versions of this story, but this one is pretty historically accurate. Many of the characters are based on real people including the famous "Unsickable" Molly Brown and John Jacob Aster. Some fictional characters are added for embellishment, but this doesn't take away from the emotions that are invoked when this ship downs down, taking so many innocent lives with it.
One of the main characters is Simon Doonan, a criminal who wanted to rob the first class passengers and who even stole his ticket onto the ship. He shows a different side when the drama goes down. There are also lots of big name actors in this series, including Catherine Zeta-Jones and Tim Curry. I just loved this series and I could watch it over and over again.
