My Thoughts

The Originals is an awesome paranormal series that centers around three vampire siblings, one of which has a little werewolf blood mixed in as well. For generations, their family ruled the French Quarter, but eventually they were thrown out of power. Now, the siblings what to reclaim what they lost. But there are other magical creature in town who aren't ready to let them rule. Another vampire is in charge, and he will fight to keep his place. Witches, werewolves, and vampires all get a piece of the action in this amazing series.

I have always loved the paranormal, and this series really has it all. Vampires, witches, and werewolves run amok in this town. I love how the series steers away from all the stereotypes to create their own unique world filled with twists and and turns.  I also love the history of the French Quarter mingled in with the fiction. This was a great series with an amazing cast, and I was sorry to see it come to an end after all five seasons. I'm just glad that the box set is available so I can enjoy it again and again.
