My Thoughts

800 Words is a cute comedy about a widower who decides to move his family to a little coastal town. But his new beginning doesn't go quite as smoothly as he planned. The quirky locals can't keep to themselves and George and his kids find themselves the center of attention, This season has eight delightful episodes:

Episode 1 - Zac, Steve, and Ike go missing after a boating accident. George has to choose between the search, helping Jan through labor, or comforting Shay.

Episode 2 - George loves having a baby around and anxiously awaits the paternity results.

Episode 3 - George reluctantly helps search for Woody's ex-wife. Ike dumps Shay and Katie starts teaching.

Episode 4 - George admits he had a vision of Laura . Woody wants him to help him get divorced.

Episode 5 - Woody gets a big shock when he wants to confront his ex. Tracey leans what Woody is up to and Ollie hits on Shay.

Episode 6 - A bunch of people are in George's house and he wants them gone. Woody and Tracey have issues and Poppy is caught in the middle.

Episode 7 - George has to go to Woody's bachelor party. Woody doesn't want to get involved in any wedding hazing but his friends have other ideas.

Episode 8 - Woody's wedding reminds George of his own. Ollie gets dangerous with Shay. A power outage occurs on the big wedding day.

This series will make you laugh at times and get emotional at times. The relationship between George and his kids has it's challenges, but it's also touching. Living in a small coastal town myself, I could definitely relate to the quirky locals. If you'd like to grab a copy of this DVD set, it is available online at Acorn Media and online at Amazon.
