MOUSE AND MOLE AT CHRISTMAS TIME on DVD

This September, Public Media Distribution, LLC, will release “MOUSE AND MOLE AT CHRISTMAS TIME,” just in time for the holiday season.

Mouse and Mole live together and are best friends. Mouse is practical and cheerful while Mole always gets himself into trouble and needs looking after. After delivering invitations to their friends for their holiday party, Mouse makes a “snow-mole” for Mole. Mole dreams that his new snow-mole comes to life and takes him to a land where his every wish is granted! Will Mole learn to be careful what he wishes for?

“MOUSE AND MOLE AT CHRISTMAS TIME” ($9.99 SRP) will be available on DVD September 12, 2017 and has a run time of 35 minutes. The program will also be available for digital download. In addition to the title story, the DVD includes ten bonus Mouse and Mole animated tales which are wise, witty, and filled with timeless charm.

This beautifully animated film, reminiscent of classics like Wind in The Willows, is part of the limited series based on the beloved children’s books written by Joyce Dunbar and illustrated by James Mayhew that were first published in 1993. Featuring the voices of the late Richard Briers (Kenneth Branagh’s Hamlet), Imelda Staunton (Maleficent, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I) and award-winning writer/actor Alan Bennett (The Madness of King George III).

My Thoughts

Mouse and Mole is a cute series about two animal friends.  One is practical while the other always finds himself in trouble. In Mouse and Mole at Christmas Time, Mole makes a snow man and wishes that it would come to life. He is amazed when his wish comes true. In addition, there are ten other episodes including:

Preposterous Puddle
Daffodil
Least Expecting
Picnic
Whiskers
Half a Banana
Catch a Falling Leaf
Spectables
A Frisky Fluttery Ghost
The Secret of Happiness

Before getting this DVD, my children had never seen this series, but they instantly fell in love with this magical world. The characters are endearing. The story lines are interesting and always teach a lesson. The holiday theme to this DVD is helping us get in the mood for the change of seasons. I hope to see more of these characters in the future.
