Our Thoughts:
I cook quite frequently with fresh ginger root because I love the spicy flavor it gives, so when the opportunity to review Gold Kili's ginger products came up, I grabbed it.   They sent me the All Natural Ginger and All Natural Ginger Lemon Filter Bags, as well as the the Instant Ginger and Instant Ginger Lemon Drinks.

The first one I tried was the Instant Ginger Lemon Drink.  On the package it recommends it be added to 250ml (just over 8 oz) of hot or cold water, so that's how I mixed it (in cold water).  And it was STRONG!!!  I could smell, but not really taste, the lemon; the ginger was the main flavor.  I ended up having to dilute it with double the amount of water, and it was still very strong.  I could see upon opening the package they type of sweetener used, I have some of the same here at home - it did give it a bit of a heavier taste.  Next up I tried the Instant Ginger, but having been forewarned by the previous package, I diluted it in 32oz of water, which made a nice, light, pleasantly gingery drink that wasn't overpowering.

The Filter Bags were much less intensely flavored; I used about 10 - 12 oz of hot water.  I love ginger and honey together and expected to have to add some, but they really didn't need any added sweetener, they were good on their own.  Now, I like to press my teabags with a spoon to get the most flavor out of them.  These filter bags are a bit weaker; they did open up with very minimal pressing and leak out into the drink.

All in all, the Gold Kili Ginger products have good flavor.  I do wish they would include an ingredients list; that is one thing that is very important to me with my & my son's dietary needs, but I figured you can't really go wrong with ginger! :)
