My Thoughts
I am a huge coffee drinker. Its pretty much either coffee or water for me, but 99% of the time its coffee. There's a cup sitting beside me while I type up this review. Since I'm the only one in my house who drinks coffee 24/7, a one cup brewer has been on my wish list for quite some time, but the Kuerig brand simply wasn't in my price range. The Mr. Coffee Single Cup Brewing System is a more affordable option that uses the Keurig technology but doesn't cost a fortune. The result is a great cup of coffee every time at an affordable price.
The Mr. Coffee Single Cup Brewing System is lightweight and easy to use. It comes completely assembled and even includes a few trial K-cups to try out. The water reservoir allows you to fill it enough to make a few cups and you have the option of 6 or 10 oz. Personally, I found the 10 oz was the perfect strength for an average K-cup. Once filled up, you simply stick your K-Cup in the slot, select your brew size, and you're ready to go. The brewing process takes only a few minutes and when its done you have a fresh tasting mug of coffee. This is a much better alternative to coffee that's been sitting on the warmer for hours.
While I do love the individual K-cups, I know for me the cost of them was one of the things that deterred me from getting a machine. If this is a concern for you, it doesn't have to be. A found a great little gadget that allows me to use my own coffee in the one cup brewer. These mini filters can usually be found with the coffee accessories and it will allow you to take advantage of the great coffee this machine can brew at a fraction if the cost. Of course the K-cups offer the convenience of no clean up, but the option to choose is there.
All in all, I love the Mr. Coffee Single Cup Brewing System. I found it offers the same quality I have come to expect from Mr. Coffee. Their coffee makers have been gracing my counter since my college days and they've never let me down yet. The Single Cup Brewer is the newest addition to the family and I'm happy to say it hasn't let me down.

I absolutely love the Keurig maker and the cups. Helps me to save what I have rather than waste;) I am thankful that Mr. Coffee and others have followed suit.

I like this. I drink coffee and my husband doesn't most of the time. This is perfect for that special cup you want brewed. The coffee for this may cost more but not to Starbucks or other coffee spots. Nice review.
This sounds like a great coffee maker to have for my husband and I. It's only he and myself now, so our bigger brewer is not needed much anymore.

I'm a lover of the Mr. Coffee brand too. I really appreciate that this machine has ability (after you get the accessory part) to let you use it to brew your own ground coffee. The little cups are cute, but I worry about all that plastic waste.
I have one of the reusable k-cup things, I haven't tired it yet but I know it will certainly save money. I love this Mr. Coffee unit wish I would have know about it before I got my Keurig.

I love my Mr Coffee brewing system, but it makes a full carafe and not just a cup at a time and at times, it would be great to have just one cup and not have to waste a whole pot, I like that this pot also has option of ounces to make your coffee with. THank you for the review.

Wow, it does both single and a pot, I wish they had this before I got a keurig cause I need both keurig and coffee maker on my counter. this would be great for my son he is moving into a new apartment and needs a coffee maker,

I definitely think the key is being able to fill it with your own coffee. The k-cups may be convenient, but they are expensive and not very environmentally friendly. Did you purchase your "gadget" from Mr. Coffee?

I think I like the most that varying sizes of cups and travel mugs also can used with Mr. Coffee's Brewing System. After all, Mr. Coffee has always been a household name and this brewer is another reason why its so.

This is a nice inexpensive alternative to the regular branded K-Cup systems. I like all the features except the cup size only goes to 10 oz. We have ours set to 12 oz and it fills the cups we use just about right, 10 oz. would be a little short.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that this way of drinking coffee is more expensive compared to brewing a pot, it is so convenient and easy for having a fresh brewed cup whenever it strikes your fancy!

I'd love to own this for single cups of coffee. I always waste too much with a regular brewer.
I love the idea of the single cup coffee brewing machines. Glad to hear they do come through in quality. These would be nice because sometimes I don't want a full pot and waste coffee grounds. Or sometimes my boyfriend wants coffee and I want tea then it's this huge hassle because our kitchen is too small for both of us to be in there at the same time. The small filters are great and easy to use. My bestie has the Keurig and uses those.
