My Thoughts

The Color Book is a fascinating way to introduce kids to the world or art and color.  Each chapter shows you basic colors in a whole new way, relating them to feelings, nature, and moods.  The author shows kids how different shades of the same colors can be used to create various types of drawings and patterns and even how to blend colors to create different shades.  The artwork on each page is simply stunning and it's amazing the creative ways she uses colors to create artwork that is simple enough for even a beginner to accomplish.
This book can be read by children as young as eight or nine but can continue to provide enjoyment and inspiration for older kids and even teens and adults. The Color Book is perfect for any aspiring artist or for someone who appreciates the beauty of color in all its aspects.
