My Thoughts
I love books that are personalized for my children so I was excited to check out one of the books from Marble Sparks. The one I was sent was Following Featherbottom. I've had other books where my child's name was simply inserted into a story. Sometimes they even added the birthday, but this one was different. This whole story was built around my daughter's name. Each page was chosen just for her. Here's how it works.

The story of Following Featherbottom is about a stork getting ready to deliver the perfect name to a new arrival. The arrival will be the birth date of your child. Then each page is the stork flying all over the world to find the letters that spell their first and last name. This means that each book will be completely unique.  I was a little worried at first that I might run into a problem because my daughter has three Ls in her name, but there was no issues. Each of the Ls was a different place and a brand new scene. Nothing was repeated.

My daughter loved following Featherbottom around the world while he built her name. She met octopuses, leprechauns, dinosaurs, elephants and more--all to find the name that was perfect for her. The illustrations are detailed and vivid and the storyline held her interest.  It's also a great way for kids to learn about new places and get practice learning how to spell their name. A story like this would be a great gift for any child to find in their Easter basket and is something both children and parents will treasure forever.
