Boycraft - Loads of Things to Make for and With Boys (And Girls)

Product was received for free in exchange for an honest review.

There are tons of great craft ideas out there to help keep kids busy on long winter days indoors. But have you ever noticed how many of them tend toward the frilly and sparkly? What can you do if you have a boy or girl who loves to make things, but likes their craft a little tougher, a little rougher, even a little scarier? Boycraft: Load of Things to Make For and With Boys (and Girls) is the solution! From finger knitting to outfitting action heroes, jumper monkeys to vampire cloaks, working stilts to egyptian mummies made with soda bottles and paper mache, Boycraft will keep the fearless young creator busy, entertained, and engaged.

Boys like making stuff. Actually, boys love making stuff. Not just model boats, paper airplanes, bows and arrows and catapults ? although they love that too. Boys like knitting; scarves, hats, spiders and monsters. Boys like sewing ? especially if they can use the sewing machine. They like cutting and sticking and gluing and sawing and hammering. However, sometimes people ? both boys and their parents ? need to be reassured that it?s okay for boys to make things. BoyCraft does exactly that.
BoyCraft is packed full of projects to make for and with boys. It will be illustrated with a mix of photographs and graphic-style illustrations

My thoughts:
Love this craft book.  Weather you want to make a Model craft, woolly craft, Wood craft, Paper craft, Stitch craft or Creepy craft, there is something in this book for each one to choose from. And with the Wood crafts you don't need a lot of tools. And the Stitch craft (sewing projects) are made from old clothes or other items around your house.

This book has pictures of each craft, along with easy to follow instructions.
My son who is six loves zombies, spiders, and bats.  so his favorite thing we made was a bat.  And all we needed to make this was black paper, clothes peg, pencil, black felt pen and string. It was so much fun and easy to make. The next craft my son wants to make it the spider.
My daughter who is nine wants to make a bug hotel. And all we need for this craft is Bamboo canes, small piece of wood, string and glue.. Another craft that is going to be fun to make.
There are a lot of great crafts in this book that would be fun for sleepovers and/or birthday parties. A great way for kids to have fun with their friends.  I have an in home daycare and will be making fun crafts with the small children I take care of.  This is a must book to add to your collection if you have young boys and girls or even a teacher.
