My Thoughts

This is a touching classic film based on a true story. Gladys is a missionary in China, following her calling. Even when she was told she didn't fit the criteria, she saved her money and found her own way overseas. In the midst of the Chinese-Japanese war, she leads one hundred children to the safety of another village.  Despite all her struggles and responsibilities, she falls in love with a Chinese officer. Gladys finds herself forced to choose between the man he loves and the children she vowed to protect. The film walks you through the struggles of war, overcoming racial differences, and following your heart.

This movie features a remarkable all-star cast including Oscar winner Ingrid Bergman and Robert Donat in his final performance. To compliment the talented actors are beautiful, realistic backdrops and stunning costumes. The Inn the Sixth Sense was truly a masterpiece of its time and a classic that all generations can enjoy.
