My Thoughts

The Hive: A Very Buzzbee Christmas is an adorable series about a little bee family and their friends. This disk includes ten episodes and covers more than just a few Christmas stories. In one episode, Buzzbee helps out the neighborhood postman when he sprains his ankle and gets an unexpected surprise in return. He also learns to be careful what he wishes for when he gets mad at his sister and wishes she'll disappear, only to find she's missing right afterwards. He also learns how important it is to keep secrets when he spoils a few surprises. Finally, its time for the holiday celebrations. The neighborhood celebrates the Festival of Lights and Buzzbee gets upset when he figures out his grandfather is playing Papa Christmas.

My children absolutely adored this show. The backgrounds are bright and colorful and the characters are lovable and easy for preschoolers to relate too. The secondary characters make it even more interesting. My kids loved the Lady Bug school teacher in the Water Pitcher school house, Buzzbe's friend the wasp, the spider mailman, and the centipede mechanic. Life in the garden has never been so fun! The Hive is a great series with lots of educational value. Every episode has a valuable lesson, but also lots of entertainment.
