Update Your Summer Look With Mixed Chicks

First of all, I like what "mixed chicks" stands for. I received a bottle of shampoo and a conditioner to try, but what impressed me the most is what the conditioner says...

"a curl-defining formula designed for "us" whether you're black, white, asian, latin, mediterranean, or any glorious combination of the above, you'll love the way this alcohol-free, non-sticky, lightweight product leaves your hair inviting to touch as it defines and locks moisture into every curl. Be a proud member of our multi-racial movement..."

SULFATE FREE shampoo (10oz / 300 ml)I'm a mixed chick--part Puerto Rican and part white, with natural curly hair. I had a "fro" in sixth grade... LOL So I'm with this. :D

The shampoo I was sent is Sulfate Free Shampoo

What they say: gets straight, wavy and curly hairsqueaky clean without sulfates.

What I say: No quibbles. It does what a shampoo is supposed to do. My hair feels clean, light, and best of all!!!!!!!!--it did NOT strip my expensive highlight and dye job. That is always my biggest fear when trying a new shampoo. Oftentimes, even though the bottle promises it's safe for dyed hair--it's not. It also smells fine--nothing mind-blowing, but it doesn't stink.

LEAVE-IN conditioner (10oz / 300ml)The conditioner is Leave In Conditioner, which not only a conditioner but a styling tool.

What they say: TAME FRIZZ and DEFINE CURLS on many hair textures & weaves (synthetic or human)

What I say: This, too, works. I applied it to my hair and allowed it to air dry. It dried with light waves, no frizz. My hair is soft, even that irritating spot on my bangs that feels like it's fried by the flat iron.

In conclusion: No quibbles. I recommend these products for anyone of mixed heritage with curly hair. It's past time they made something for us!
