Book Review: Brookfrield Sereies One by Lacey Wolfe

FINDING HOME
Julie Miller has returned to her home in Brookfield, Wyoming after discovering she is pregnant. All she wants is her mother to comfort her after her boyfriend told her to either have an abortion or leave. The only problem is, when she gets to her mother's house, she doesn't find her mom--she finds a half-naked man cooking breakfast.

Mark Thomas has moved to Brookfield to escape his past. He needs a fresh start to try and forget the things that haunt him, and Brookfield seems like the perfect place.

As if it isn't bad enough that Julie doesn't find her mother, a blizzard buries the town, and she is snowed in with Mark. Leaving them no choice, they begin a friendship while trying to resist the attraction they feel for one another.

Once the snow melts, Julie is free to leave. Will she choose to start a life in Brookfield or run back to New York? Meanwhile, Mark struggles to let go of his past and, if he does, is Julie his future?

However, he isn’t alone. Someone else wants Ava to leave town. Things take a turn when her shop is vandalized, and all evidence points to Seth.

Ava isn’t sure what to think. While Seth seems to be the only one with motives, something inside her believes he would never do it. Can Ava and Seth figure it out before one of them gets hurt?

My Thoughts
Finding Home is a sweet romance about two people who have their lost their way and find it again each other's arms. Julie goes home to her mother after fining out she's pregnant and being rejected by the father. But instead of fining her mom, she finds a hot guy whose renting the house while her mother is touring the country.  A freak blizzard snows them in together, but their mutual attraction warms things up. Buy Julie is worried how he will feel when he learns she's expecting another man's child and she also has a feeling Mark is harboring a secret of her own. They will both have to overcome their insecurities to realize the home they both dream of is closer then they think.

In Bare Necessities. there is a little mystery and intrigue along with a spicy romance. Ava is a sexy Italian who wants to open a lingerie shop with a little something extra in the back. Seth is the cop who thinks this store will be a scandal in the small town of Brookfield. The only problem is, as opposed as he is to the shop, Seth also can't deny his attraction to Ava and vice versa, When someone vandalizes her shop and sends her threatening notes, of course she thinks its Seth, but there are other suspects around and anyone could be the culprit. Despite her doubts, Ava is still drawn to Seth. But she is coming out of a bad relationship, and he has a dark secret in his past as well. With the sparks flying off the page, readers will route for Ava and Seth to overcome their differences and give into their urges.

Both the stories in this book were beautiful written with great character development. I  love how to get to meet up again with some of the characters from Finding Home in Bare Necessities and see how they're fairing.  The people in this series are easy to get attached to and I'm looking forward to reading the next one to see what will happen next in Brookfield.
