My Thoughts

In Doom Patrol a group of unlikely superheroes. Each of them were human once but suffered an accident that turned them super-human. After the Chief brings them together, they set out to explore strange happenings together. Season Two picks up with the team being left shrunken on a toy race track and it only gets crazier from there. Season Two includes nine action packed episodes. 

Fun Size Patrol - The little team will have to make a big sacrifice to get back to their normal size.

Thyme Patrol - The team is going up against Dr. Thyme to stop him from altering time.

Pain Patrol - Red Jack has taken Larry prisoner and the team must rescue him.

Sex Patrol - A party at Doom Manor makes Dorothy wish she was a grown up. 

Finger Patrol - Dorothy things she found a friend, but really found trouble. 

Space Patrol - Seemingly immortal spacemen return from space and Dorothy is missing.

Dumb Patrol - A package shows up at the manor that may not be a good surprise.

Dad Patrol - Jan goes to the Underground to prove herself and Nick shows his fatherly side.

Wax Patrol - The Candlemaker wants to destroy the world, but the team can't defeat him until they defeat their own fears.

Doom Patrol is such a fun series. It offers all the action you except from DC, but there is plenty of humor in he mix as well. If you love superheroes you are sure to enjoy this series. I can't wait to see what happens in Season 3.

Fuller House: The Complete Fourth Season

Fuller House is the continuation of the ‘90s ABC series Full House in which eldest daughter D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure, Full House, A Christmas Detour) is now a veterinarian and recently widowed mother trying to raise three boys on her own.  She is joined by her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin, Full House, Walt Before Mickey) and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber, Full House, The Skateboard Kid 2) and Kimmy’s teenage daughter Ramona (Soni Bringas), who move in to lend their support and help raise D.J.’s kids.  Additional members from the Full House original cast will make guest appearances throughout the series. 

The original Full House, which centered around three grown men raising three girls in San Francisco, premiered in 1987 on ABC and became an instant hit with viewers. The family friendly series became a pop culture phenomenon. It was praised by fans for its wholesome comedy, lovable characters and valuable life lessons. It aired for eight successful seasons and later aired in syndication.  Fuller House premiered on Netflix in February 2016.

My Thoughts

Fuller House is my favorite television reboot. I loved the show as a kid and I'm enjoying the new series even more than I imagined. This season, things really get crazy. Kimmy is pregnant with Stephanie's baby, and DJ & Steve are finally giving their relationship a chance. Some of the highlights include the she-wolves solving a mystery on a cruise ship in the guise of Charlie's Angels, a musical number in the middle of the street, and anything involving John Stamos who still looks like he's thirty!

I'm a child of the nineties. I'm actually the exact same age as DJ & Kimmy, so this series was an awesome walk down memory lane. Seeing my old favorites back on the small screen gave me a chance to reminiscence about my own teenage years, but it also brought along lots of great new memories. My teen daughter and I watched it together, and we loved the dynamics between the kids and the parents. All the little retro moments and especially the references to classic nineties tunes really make the series great. My all time favorite scene was the musical number between DJ and her high school sweetheart Steve. My Thoughts

The Flash is an exciting series centered around one of my favorite superheros. This season, the Flash has many new challenges to overcome.  The last season left us with the defeat of Tinker. He and his wife also meet their daughter from the future which was definitely a cool new twist.  Things don't go cell for long because a new super villain emerges named Cicada and the Flash finds himself in over his head before too long. This season includes 22 hour long episodes including:

For some reason, I missed this series and I'm coming into it late. I still managed to pick up the plot, but I enjoyed it so much, I fully intend to go back and watch the first seasons. It's an exciting series with nonstop action and a great story line. Its fun to get to see extended versions of your favorite superheros. My Thoughts

The Originals is an awesome paranormal series that centers around three vampire siblings, one of which has a little werewolf blood mixed in as well. For generations, their family ruled the French Quarter, but eventually they were thrown out of power. Now, the siblings what to reclaim what they lost. But there are other magical creature in town who aren't ready to let them rule. Another vampire is in charge, and he will fight to keep his place. Witches, werewolves, and vampires all get a piece of the action in this amazing series.

I have always loved the paranormal, and this series really has it all. Vampires, witches, and werewolves run amok in this town. I love how the series steers away from all the stereotypes to create their own unique world filled with twists and and turns.  I also love the history of the French Quarter mingled in with the fiction. This was a great series with an amazing cast, and I was sorry to see it come to an end after all five seasons. I'm just glad that the box set is available so I can enjoy it again and again. My Thoughts

Alex and Me is a fun film that centers around a teen named Reagan. Her biggest dream is to be a soccer star, and she idolizes a player named Alex who is an Olympic champion. Despite her goals, Reagan struggles to stay on top, and is often overshadowed by her successful brother. When she doesn't make the final cut for the soccer team, she is devastated. Luckily, an accident brings her poster of Alex to life, and Reagan gets a little one-on-one training that could make all the difference.







This is such a great family film. It teaches kids that dreams can come true, and to always follow your heart. You just need to work hard, and put in the effort. Even though her time with Alex is imaginary, the movie still shows the importance of having a great role model. As a side note, I also loved seeing the brother from iCarly in this movie. He is such a fun actor, even though I'm not sure of his real name! Overall, a great film and perfect for family movie night.

My Thoughts

This film is a great new take on everyone's favorite Stone Age family. As usual, Fred gets himself into trouble pretty early in the movie. This time, he looses the money his family had saved up for their vacation, but he has a plan to win it back, and of course, he drags his little buddy along with him. Poor Barney gets tossed into the wrestling ring with some of the most famous (and to him the scariest) wrestlers in history, including John Cena, Marble Henry, and the Undertaker. You might think Barney is the one in the most trouble, but when Wilma finds out what's going on, Fred will wish he was the one in the ring.

My son is a huge fan of pro-wrestling, and I'm a fan of the Flintstones. With this movie, I was able to introduce him to one of my childhood favorites in a way that kept us both interested and entertained. This film is packed with the the type of slapstick laughs the Flintstones are famous for, and I know this is a movie my family will watch again and again.
