My Thoughts 

 Okay so I can honestly say that I was not the initial person who tested this item. When it first came in the mail, my four year old came to me asking, "What is that?" I told him what it was, and explained what it did. I went back to doing the dishes and when I looked back, he and the plush storage bag were gone. He went up into his room, gathered a bunch of his toys, and filled the bag. I was impressed. I will say the only thing he did not quite get the memo on, was putting soft items in the bag. So when I went to lay on it, i hurt my head lol. This storage bag is super soft and plush, and made a wonderful addition to underneath his bunk bed in the fort area. 

This company has a lot of wonderful storage options. They come in multiple colors, and very different types as well. This is definitely made by moms for moms. The amount of toys can be overwhelming, and finding cute storage options is always a wonderful thing. If you are feeling the need for some declutter in your life, this is definitely a company you should check out. It definitely is more fun then your typical toy chest.

My Thoughts

One of the things I love about GreatUsefulStuff is their range of organizational products. I have a small house with five people living in it. With two kids to a room, our closets and dressers are all overflowing. A sweater bin seemed like a great solution that would help free up some space. Sweaters are so bulky, just a few can fill up a few drawers. This bin allows you to take them and use some of they empty space in closet shelves or even on the floor. You can easily fit 5-10 different sweaters inside the bin, depending on the size. You put it together with Velcro located on the sides, so when it's not in use, it is easy to store and doesn't take up any space at all.

My teen daughter loves the sweater bin. She was able to free up an entire drawer for her smaller t-shirts. Plus, the sweaters stay organized and are easy to find. Book Review: Minimalism: Right Decluttering for More Order, Time and Freedom.

It seems like there just aren't enough hours in the day, and it's hard to keep organized and clutter-free. This book talks about ways to achieve those goals, and free up the time you take searching for things in a pile of clutter (or cleaning it all!) 

The book mostly contains a lot of common-sense things one can do to clean quickly and get rid of clutter (like asking yourself if this object you're holding onto really serves any purpose in your life and makes you happy). It also goes into the KISS method and talks about minimizing more than just the clutter on that shelf or table. The inbox, for example, is a huge issue for a lot of people, and Tolga gives tips for taking back control of it. Plus, he talks about learning to say no, 

The author's straight-forward style can seem a bit dry at times, and I do think some advice goes a bit far (I still am distrustful of putting everything in digital format. Even with cloud, things can happen). Still, there are gems in it, and I found the advice in this book inspiring. Too often, we let the small chores that can be done in minutes until they balloon into things that will take ages to get through. He advocates doing these little things as you go along, so that they don't end up taking up big chunks of your day. It's a hard habit to get into, but I firmly agree with him about it being an important one.

The explanation of the KISS method is accessible, and really does need to be applied in pretty much any situation. While I read it in one shot in order to be able to type up this review, I certainly recommend reading a bit at a time and doing the activities in the book as your reach them. 

Stay Organized with Samepage

I'm probably the most disorganized person in the world, especially when it comes to the my digital files. You'd think being both a blogger and an author, I'd have my computer files organized and backed up, but I'm notoriously bad at doing this.  However, since I discovered Samepage, my organizational skills have improved and I'm getting a lot more done!

 As an author, I've found the Samepage service to be indispensable.  I just finished writing a new book, but the completed novel is only the first step in the process . Now we have to go through edits, design a cover, and start a marketing plan.  Samepage is making all of this easier. First, I uploaded my completed PDF manuscript. Instead of emailing individual copies to each person and cluttering up their emails, my publisher, editor, beta readers and proofreader can all access the book through Samepage. We can follow each other's process, and open discussions if someone discovers a plot hole or reads a sentence that isn't quite right.

When it was time to create the cover, Samepage was helpful there too! Everyone involved can go through stock images and add photos they think fit the storyline. Then we can discuss and/or vote for our favorite. Once the cover is designed, we're be able to critique it  and make suggestions. Another great aspect is that my material is secure through Samepage. Only the people who I want to view my documents can see what we share, so there is no fear of leaking content before we're ready to make it public or someone stealing my work before the final version is copyrighted.

When the book is finally ready to be released, you can be sure that Samepage will still be a huge part of my plans. My publisher and I can schedule and view promotions to be sure we never book two on the same day. We can even keep track of social media shares, and compare them against sales to see what outlets are the most successful.

My Thoughts 

 I have a teenage daughter and she was always hogging the bathroom.  The full length mirror in her room was great for checking her clothes, but not much help when she was applying her makeup.
