My Thoughts:

Thrive is a delicious way to enjoy the fuel your body needs on the go. As a working college student, I do not always have the time to make a nutritious meal or snack. That is why I am so grateful to GoMacro for creating a healthy alternative that packs all the goodness needed to keep your body balanced and happy. It is hard to find good, wholesome health food on the market now that is not packed with added sugars or fats. With Thrive, you can enjoy your food in confidence that it is organic, kosher, gluten free and vegan. It is also only 200 calories while still providing the proteins our body needs from plants on a daily basis.

There are a variety of flavors that Thrive provides such as Almond Apricot (pictured above), Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, Blueberry Lavender, Caramel Coconut, Chocolate, Nuts and Sea Salt, as well as Ginger Lemon. Each were soft, chewy, packed with flavor and they had just enough crunch from the seed blend. Some like Caramel Coconut had nuts such as cashews and almonds. Each bar gave me a nice full feeling and a boost of energy after eating them. Knowing that all of the bars were made from real ingredients made it even more enjoyable. As a chocolate lover as well, it is always nice to know I can get my sweet fix without the guilt from the flavors like Chocolate, Nuts and Sea Salt, as well as Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip. Each flavor was a unique and tasty blend that always hit the spot!

My Thoughts:

I have been looking for an effective and long lasting bug spray for quite some time. I have gotten bitten up terribly by mosquitoes the last few summers. Already having allergies, my bites would swell up so badly and the itch would be horrible. This summer, I have been dedicated to finding a product that works for me.

I have to say, U.S. Organic's Anti Bug Spray options truly impressed me. The oils are organic, the product is not sticky on skin, and the bottle sprays a fair amount each time. The smell of both the indoor and outdoor forumlas is strong, but it begins to wear off quickly. I liked to spray it outside, rub the product in, and then go about my night. So far, I have hardly been bitten at all when I wear this. The staying power is fantastic too. I spent quite a few hours outdoors this week and have had no troubles. Being someone who loves being outdoors, especially during the warmer months, this is a blessing! Plus, it is safe to use on children and DEET free as well, making it even better! 

The kit that I received came with an indoor, outdoor, and travel sized outdoor formula. I have never seen an indoor formula before which really intrigued me. I like to use that on any sort of indoor furniture that I often take outside. The travel sized portion has been in my purse and works just as well as the full sized choice. All the products are lightweight and easy to use. I would highly recommend it!

Meet Dosha Bar! #Giveaway & #Discount Code

I wanted to introduce you to Dosha Bar, they are a product we featured recently in a BuddhiBox, and they are new on the market. They're a 100% organic, unsweetened fruit and seed bar.  

This bar is a little different than all the others, which is why I chose to feature them in BuddhiBox. First, they have very clean ingredients. Dosha Bar uses unsweetened fruit (most dried fruit is covered in sugar or apple juice concentrate), very little sweetener (pretty much the last ingredient on the list), and no preservatives, flavorings, or lab-made powders such as fiber, fruit, or protein. Bottom line is that it tastes great and digests like real food, unlike most bars I've had. 

Second, the Dosha Bar brand imagery and packaging is beautiful. As important, it hits the nail on the head in it's connection with yoga, unlike so many brands that simply try to put an asana or a buddha on a package and miss the point. Dosha Bar's brand connects through yoga's sister science, Ayurveda.  Each bar is made with ingredient combinations that balances one of the 3 "doshas" (Ayurvedic mind-body types) and the site even offers consumers an online quiz to help find their dominant "dosha" and get life balance tips with recommendations for activities and food ingredients to balance them.  It's a pretty cool, unique idea for a food product!  

My Thoughts:

I was excited to try the three varities of the Dosha Bar. The concept of the product is so unique and interesting. I love learning about yoga and it always relaxes me when I take part in it. The idea of these bars helping the balancing process truly intrigued me. They arrived in a sweet drawstring burlap bag. Below are pictures of each bar and what I thought of them:

Blueberry Balance (Pitta):

This was one of my favorite bars in the bunch. It helps to balance Pitta. It's sweet, tasty and very relaxing. As I ate the bar, I felt a bit more grounded, calm and centered. I was surprised! The blueberries give the bar a sweet texture, with a energy boost from the added seeds that include Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Puffed Amaranth, Dates and Raisins. There is also a dash of Cinnamon, Brown Rice Syrup and Quinoa Crisps. This the ideal comfort food that is actually good for you!  

Cran Apple Awakening (Kapha):

If you are looking for a treat that will wake you up, this is for you! This bar is zesty to the max and helps to balance Kapha! I loved it. The ingredients include a seed mixture of Sunflower Seeds, Hemp Seed Hearts, Quinoa Crisps, Buckwheat, Chia Seeds. There is also a nice fruit blend of Plums, Apples, Cranberries. There is a nice sweet burst too from the organic honey. This is ideal for those that need that extra boost in the morning or during the day. 

Cherry Chakra (Vata):

Cherry Chakra had a unique flavor. It was a mixture of tangy and sweet, and quite hearty. The taste of seed mixture stands out the most in the bar. It contains Pumpkin Seeds, Hemp Seed Hearts, Sesame Seeds, and Quinoa Crisps. There was a nice variety of fruits as well including Cherries, Dates, Plums, and Apples. There's a little dash of Sea Salt, Brown Rice Syrup and Organic Sunflower Oil. The bar helps to balance Vata, assisting in feeling focused, at ease and grounded. 

I really enjoyed what Dosha Bar represents and you can't beat the flavors. These are bars that are not only healthy, but delicious. Each one is successful in its mission to balance each area it covers. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves yoga, is looking to get involved in it, or is simply looking for a nutritious treat.

My Thoughts:

Thanks to Justin's, I was able to try each individual Snack Pack they have listed above. All of them were rich and delicious! If you are an almond, hazelnut and nut butter lover like me, these will be ideal for your snacking needs! In addition to the wonderful flavors and choices, each variety is kosher and vegan as well. They will give you an energy boost and sweet yet healthy treat to make your day even more enjoyable! Upon opening, give each butter a good mix with your pretzels to get the natural oils mixed in. It will create a nice smooth product. I will attach pictures of each below, as well as my thoughts! 

 Justin's Maple Almond Butter: 

Justin's Maple Almond Butter gave a sweet surprise to the classic hearty almond butter flavor. This had very small almonds in it, while the wheat pretzels gave a nice crisp crunch. The pretzels were lightly salted and picked up the almond butter perfectly. If you love maple flavor or are just craving something sweet, this is the perfect snack for you! Justin's Chocolate Hazelnut Butter:

Our Thoughts

When you switch to eating a cleaner diet, most of the stuff you once enjoyed are off the table. Candy, cereals, frozen foods, and more are usually not an option when you make the Organic switch. There are some companies who are offering alternatives, though, and Go Organic is one of them. 

I had the opportunity to try a variety of candies from the company, including gummy, chewy, and hard candy. I have to say that I was overall happy with what I received. The hard candies had plenty of flavor (in fact, sometimes it was a bit much and I had to limit it to a piece or two), and the gummy candies were good as well. In fact, I think I overall liked those better.

Of the different varieties of the hard candy, I would say the blood orange and honey lemon were the best. They had a nice flavor, melted nicely in my mouth, and were actually pretty soothing for my throat. I sing a lot, so it tends to get really scratchy here and there. Eating one of the hard candies helped to keep that under control. 

The gummy candies were really good as well, but the chewy ginger candy was my favorite. It had a rich taste that kind of reminded my husband and I of tootsie rolls. I'd say these are a really good bet if you're craving something sweet, but don't want the extra ingredients that the majority of candy has.
