My Thoughts

Smallville is a classic series that sets the stage for all the superhero series that followed over the years. In this exciting show, we meet a young Clark Kent when he's just a teenager, living with his adopted parents. As a young man, he struggles to control his powers and meets his first love Lana Lang. Eventually, he moves on to adulthood where he meet Lois Lane. It's a real coming of age version of Superman that delves deeper into his emotions than any other movie or show. I can't believe it's been twenty years since it first aired, but I still love it just as much as I did when I was in my twenties. It's' no wonder it lasted for ten seasons and is still popular today.

In addition to the main episodes, the Blu-Ray set also includes twenty-eight hours of bonus footage including comic con features, behind the scenes chats, and the pilot from the original 1961 version of the show. Smallville is such a fun series and a great take on a classic character. It offers all the action you expect from DC, but there is plenty of humor and passion in the mix as well. If you love superheroes you are sure to enjoy this series.  If you want to grab a copy for yourself, you can find it in stores nationwide or online at Amazon.
